I LOVE THESE BOOTS! I have wide calves & these fit great. Seems as though wide calf boots vary in such detail that its hard for me to find a really good fit. Either they tend to be a bit too tight for tucking in jeans OR they seem to be WAY TOO sloppy looking in the calf area & look silly. These are FAB! Soooooo comfortable, plus waterproof! I usually wear a size 7.5 in a boot & ordered the same size. Perfect fit. They looks so cute.

The stretchy material allowed the boot to fit correctly on a variety of calf sizes so it doesn't look baggy on thinner calves or too tight on larger ones. Has a little bit of a wintery look due to the material, but quite stylist and cute.

I usually have a really hard time finding pretty boots that fit my athletic calves (151/2") - even wide calf boots. These boots fit perfectly. I've worn them every day since I received them I do a lot of walking and stair climbing at work and my feet never get tired. I don't usually write reviews but am so in love with these boots that I want to share this success story. If you have wide calves, these are the best!

I have not walked much in these yet but I tried them on and walked around the room! Easy on, easy off big plus! Great fit, I did order a 9½ and I usually wear a 9 shoe. I am used to a more casual wider toe area so I went for more room!

As with other reviews, these boots are excellent! They are so comfortable and stylish. I am glad that I bought them too!

I must say it is a beautiful boot. Although the boot is considered wide calf, it just didn't fit my daughter-in-law properly. She found it extremely uncomfortable and stiff. Loved the look of the boot but wasn't a good fit for her extra wide calves.

I've had trouble finding boots that don't need a good breaking in. These boots were perfect from the start, no breaking in at all. Great padding. So glad I got them.

I tried on about 10 pairs of boots before I found some that didn't look like pirate boots. It seems that the "wide calf" versions of most boots are shaped like a big V, which looks ridiculous. These Aetrex boots have fabric in the back so the boot molds more to your leg. I also liked that I could take out the insole and put in an orthotic for more arch support. My final reason for choosing these over the Dansko boots that I also tried was that these were stiffer and not as flexible. (My podiatrist has told me to look for stiffer, more supportive shoes after my recent stress fracture.) The zipper is not full-length, and that makes them a little more difficult to pull on, but these boots have many other pluses. I like the buckles at the ankle and knee, and they are very comfortable overall.

I love these boots! It is hard to find boots that fit my 15½" calf but with a medium shoe size. These are very comfortable and so cute. I got them in black and there is still enough room to tuck in pants. They are well worth the money.

First review ever but these are perfect! I tried Frye and David Tate and these. They are so comfy on the bottom of the foot (like gel) and have arch support. I have a 15 inch calf and the other 2 pairs were too wide for me and looked like pirate boots. So if this is your calf size, these are awesome. First pair of boots I have ever owned due to my calf size and I am a young grandma. Gonna look and see what other shoes this brand carries. Also for the size, I ordered an 8 (my sandal size) and an 8 1/2 (my sneaker size). The 8 1/2 fit great.

These have quickly become my favorite boot. I was concerned about the comfort level when I first tried them on, but I have comfortably walked as much as 3 miles in them. The fabric back is not only stylish, but also provides some stretch to fit nicely over jeans.

I love these boots! They make me so happy. The stretchy fabric on the back fits great, whether over bare legs or over jeans. They are warm and waterproof but not too warm to be worn indoors all day.

These are extremely comfortable and fit my wide calf. However, they were a bit short and made my legs look stocky. I'm 5'7 but I have rather short legs.

I bought these along with another pair of Born black boots to wear during the winters are work. I walk a lot during the day, 5-6 miles per day, and needed something comfortable with arch support. These are comfortable, but do not have the greatest arch support, so when standing for a long period of time my feet start to hurt a little. They are very comfortable, and look great. They also fit my wider calves, and are not too tall on my 5'4 frame. Overall I definitely recommend them. They are true to size, I bought a size 8, which is my usual, and they fit perfectly with boot socks and pants tucked in.

I have a really hard time with shoes with all of my foot issues, so you can imagine that boots are almost impossible.. These are a keeper and are comfortable. I really like these boots! I was overjoyed that they fit my big calves and my wide width foot. I expected that the arch support would have been higher/better since the slippers I have from this maker are very supportive for my high and painful arch. I remedied that issue by placing an orthotic in them, for now. I also wish the shaft was 2 inches longer for my tall legs, but these will work. One day I wore them around the house to see how they felt. Twice now, I have worn them to Church successfully. If the arches were higher for me and I did not have to spend addition money for orthotics, I could have easily given these 5 stars across the board. My feet did not get overheated while wearing them indoors, plus offered a little warmth in cool weather (48° F). They look nice with my dresses, too. As the weather is now beginning to change, I'm glad that I have these boots to wear for autumn. Let's hope the will work well for winter, too, at least when the snow isn't a foot high.

The front is great, and they were very comfortable; however, the back elastic didn't lay flat - the leather "spine" would twist during wear, which would make it bunch and scrunch like a pair of elastic waistband pants. Felt like a neon "I'm wearing large-calf boots" sign. Returning them for a pair with a little more structure all the way around.
