I bought these boots as a gift. The other pair that I purchased were for wide calf but we had to send them back. These were perfect! The first time we found high boots that fit a 19" calf and were loose! All leather and absolutely beautiful. Thank you so much for the wonderful boots. My daughter in law had to run out to purchase new leggings to wear with them. She loves them. A great purchase, if you're thinking about them...don't hesitate!

I have an extremely large calf and these are the only boots that fit - and I've tried many. They are really comfortable and cute!

I wear a size 11-1/2, which means I almost always have to size up or size down. The David Tate 12s fit just fine--they're a teeny bit too big, but not so much that my foot slides around. The big deal for me on these boots is the calf width! My calf measures 20-1/4, and the calves on the boots are actually too big for me--which is wonderful. Most wide calf boots just aren't wide enough. I've got a wonderful shoe repair guy, and once rainy season is over, I'll take these to him and have the calves taken in a bit. Too big in the calf is so much more workable & fixable than too small. I'm delighted!

Love, Love, Love these boots!!!! Wide width (EE) and super plus shaft fit my very hard-to-fit feet and calves like they were tailor-made for me. First full leather upper boots I've owned and I couldn't be more delighted!

This is definitely a wide calf boot! My 18in circumference calves fit with a little room to spare. I'm so excited that I can wear these boots with jeans for the first time. The shoe was a little tighter than expected but I anticipate that they will stretch in no time.

My calf circumference is 21". These are the first boots that I was able to zip up. They are comfortable and can be worn casually. Was looking for a heel version that are dressier for work. Otherwise, these are a keeper!

This boot was not wide enough in the calf but too wide at the top of the boot. The foot part was true to size. I wish they would make the boot to fit the calf and not much wider at the top of the boot. My calf is not as big as they said the boot was but still could not zip the boot.

I normally wear 7.5 wide and these are no exception. My calves are 18" and I can even wear regular jeans tucked inside without making the boot too tight. The shaft is the right height to avoid digging into the back of my knees when I sit down. I'm 5'1". I had to insert a short orthotic into the boots. My instep started hurting while walking a short period around the house. The orthotic did the trick and I just leave them in the boots. If you have large calves, give these a try. Good leather, simple details, and comfortable space for your calves and ankles.

The boot is just plain weird. It is way, way, way too wide at the top and narrow at the bottom. Basically, it fits no human calf I can think of. Even on my wide calves, the top of this just sticks out a LOT. I am returning.

Great for wide calf’s I had tried two other pair and although they stated they were wide, they didn’t zip up. I had a Zappos customer service rep work with me to find the perfect fit. I love them. They are very classy looking. I can even wear skinny jeans with them and they zip up

I absolutely Love this boot. I have been searching for years for a wide calf boot that fits great and looks good too. Tried them on with both leggings and skinny jeans and I am overly excited. Can’t wait to sport them with my black leather jacket. I wish they came in brown. They are a bit expensive but I’ll treat myself...I deserve it. Thank you Zappos for the quick delivery.

The first time I've ever had a boot that fits and is comfortable right out of the box. I actually have room left over in the calf which is astonishing in itself because most boys, even the ones that say extra wide calf still won't zip up and if I could get them to zip up then they'd scrunch down and look awful. But not these. I live them. They feel great and look great. The leather is butter soft and the lining keeps my feet and legs warm. The price was just awesome as well because other places for the same pair of boots wanted well over $200 or more. Thank you Zappos for always meeting or exceeding my expectations.

Anyone with a true, wide foot will understand when I say I wanted to cry upon putting these boots on my feet- not only did they fit, I could actually wiggle my toes and didn’t cut off their blood supply!! These boots fit as they should- wide feet rejoice! My one, small, complaint- though I do have wide calves to go along with my wide feet, the top of the shaft is ridiculously wide, even while tucking in jeans... but I’m not returning them because if that! I will deal! Don’t hesitate to order, your feet will thank you. I’ve not worn them for a long period of time, but assume they’ll be better than the fraudulent “wide” pair I had in last week.

I love these boots. I had a pair (with a different fabric on the shaft) for almost 4 years, & I wore them CONSTANTLY during the fall/winter months. The "foot" part had finally met its end this past winter, and I was devastated with what I was going to do without the "perfect pair" of taller, wide-calf boots. Then this boot came back into stock, and I was SO EXCITED to get another pair. I plan to wear these through 2022, and I hope that I will be able to find them again. I might even consider purchasing another pair now to have on standby. The heel cup is a little stiff at first, so I try to *massage* that to alleviate some rubbing on my heel, but otherwise it fits great from the beginning. My favorite part is that it is a wide-calf, but it still comes in at the ankle instead of feeling like a clunky stove pipe around my leg. THIS IS A GREAT BOOT!!!

This is an amazing boot for those that need a wide calf. I am a size 24 and often times the wide calf are not large enough. However, that is NOT the case with these perfect boots. They are very large....large enough for me to tuck my pants or jeans into as well. Very comfortable and a classic look. Highly recommend them!

Sadly, I have to return this beautiful pair of boots. The quality is excellent, including the resilient, durable heel. The calf was plenty wide, but the ankle wasn't. So if like me you have a true cankle, this style probably won't work for you.

Great fit! I thought I'd never find a boot to fit my almost 19" calves, but these zip with no problem with plenty of room left over. They're almost too big. The boot is sturdy so it doesn't slouch.

These boots are true to size. They fit my very wide calves with room to spare. The only slight criticism I might have is they lack a little in the style department. For example, paired with a dress for office attire, they read a bit butch. It would be nice if the foot and heel were a bit more feminine, and if the leather on the upper wasn't so thick and bulky but more sleek. All-in all, when you have thick calves its tough to find a boot that checks all your boxes, so from a practical standpoint, these work.

I have 20" calves that require Extra Wide boot shalves, as well as Extra Wide feet. While the WWs fit my feel nicely, the calves were just comically wide -- like, pirate shoe-wide. I measured and measured, but somehow ended up with boots that were so wide they rubbed together when I walked. The quality was beautiful, and I greatly appreciate the wide-calf and extra-wide-width options, but the sizing info was way off.

I have extra wide calves and these fit me beautifully. I bought a brown pair a couple of years ago and they still look good. David Tate makes awesome boots.

I needed an 11W, but that size was out, so I tried a EE. I had tried other wides that were too narrow, so I had hoped these would fit, but they were too large. The product itself was wonderful, and I wish I could get in an 11W, as I think it would fit perfectly. This boot obviously fits true to size or even maybe a bit larger than normal.
