Bought them for my daughter, big trend for teens now. After few hours wear being out she made comment her feet were starting to hurt, so do plan to wear cushioned or thicker socks. Great buy! if you can still fit in big kids sizes. My daughter can also do a womens 7-7 1/2 in some brands but took a chance reading reviews online and because being a rain boot, she had no problem with this Sz.5

Even though ALL the reviews on these boots are from small-footed women, they are still great for kids, as intended. My 8-year-old outgrew his previous pair and chose these in wader yellow; the Little Kid 2 fits him just fine and he likes them. :-)

I orginally bought them for my grandson and my daughter said boys usually don't wear rain boots these days. So, I gave them to my daughters Goddaughter instead and she was thrilled. They fitted her perfectly however I never thought about taking a picture to post. I'm just delighted that I found someone who could use them and the yellow Hunter boots are unisex.

Theoretically I should've been able to wear this shoe in a size 5 big kid. I wear a Women's size 7.5, and my feet aren't wide. Unfortunately, the toes of the kids shoes are much narrower than the regular hunter boots. My toes were very crowded with regular thin athletic socks on. They were the perfect height for my 5' 2" frame, so it's a shame that the toes didn't fit. My toes also were crammed in right at the edge of the boot. The shaft of the boot is narrower in circumference regular women's boots are, so be aware of that. If you have narrow feet and wear a women's side 7 or under (not 7.5), it's worth giving them a try. Just be aware that the fit is very different than the regular boots.

I was going to Portland, Oregon in early April. The weather forecast indicated rain my entire time there, so I decided to take the plunge and buy Hunter rain boots. I am petite (4'11), have small feet (4 1/2) but somewhat big calves. I have a hard time finding shoes so I bought the kids size 4 and the women Hunters w/adjustable back, size 5. Both boots were about a half size too big. The women boots also came up too high. They hit at my knees and kept rubbing against them whenever I walked. The kids boots hit slightly below the knees but surprisingly fit my calves. I returned the women's and kept the kids. Since the kids boots were a bit big, I bought those cheap foam insoles from Walgreens to see if they would solve that issue. And they did! They kept my feet pretty comfortable. I actually wore the boots the whole time in Portland. I even wore them to hike the short trail to the Multnomah Falls. After returning home from Portland, I had a few more uses because it Rained on and off for about a month. I'd say these boots were worth it!

I actually bought these for myself on cyber Monday for a great deal. I've been wanting hunter boots but didn't want to pay the price. I usually wear a women's size 7-8 and I ended up getting the kids largest size 5. They are a little snug with thick socks but they haven't been as tight as I thought they would. They've been so nice to throw on and avoid the wet of rain and snow.

We bought these boots for my 12 yr old daughter who has really become aware of styles recently. She loves them, she says they keep water, snow and other elements out and are fairly comfortable to wear. She wished they were a little more snug around the calf and top of the boot area but understands as that would make them more difficult to put on. Ultimately, she is very happy with them and we got a good deal on Zappos so we are happy too.

My daughter loves them! They were a holiday present. I was disappointed by the color, I thought it would be a bright yellow but it's somewhere between sunshine and chartreuse. She was so excited, she did not care!

I ordered size 3 since I have small feet (4.5) and the calf was fitted and the height was not tall enough. The women size 5 were too tall (16") so they hit me in the back of my knee. This one comes mid calf which shortens my legs. If it had been taller (14"), then I would have kept the boots because the price was much lower than the womens and it was also on sale.

I’m normally size 6.5-7 in woman’s. I bought the big kid size 5, as that’s what I normally fit in kid’s size. The feet part was perfect, but the calf portion was way too tight, and I don’t even have big calves. I’m sad to return such pretty shoes. I got matching color size 1 for my daughter, and I upped the size from her normal 13, and she said it was perfect so I’m thinking the size might be running smaller. She has slim calves too, and they were just slightly loose around her.

I wear size 4 in women's and size 2 in kids. I bought the size 2 in kids since the women's version does not come in size 4. While the fit was perfect, I was not happy with the height. I was looking for a knee high or at least a couple of inches below my knee rain boots but this kid version sat right on my calf. Too low for my liking. Had the boots been just a little higher closer to my knees, I would have kept it. Sadly, I returned the item. Back to the drawing board...........

I wear a 7 women’s but am only 5’2” and the kids size 5 fit perfectly. Would have kept them had one not been black and the other been blue. I might not have even noticed the color because they were close to each other but they were for the same foot. LOL - called customer service and new boots being sent out today. Just hoping it doesn’t rain this weekend. Realized I needed new ones with the hurricane here in NC. Customer service was great though (5 stars for them) and I will up my stars over all when I get the new ones.

I ordered the Big Kids 5 thinking it would fit like the Women's 7, and it doesn't. It's about a half size too small.

I'm 5'3" petite with 7.5 size feet and really wanted the kids 5 to work out like it did for some people. However, it was a little too snug for me as I have a little wider feet and my athletic calves made it tight. Had to use some pull to get it off. It's super cute though and can see why a lot of people have it. I'll have to bite the bullet and just buy the women for a bit more expensive. I think it's worth the investment though.

I got the yellow chartreuse color hunters and I believed they would be like your regular yellow rain boot, but warning when you get them they are actually more of a pea green, not the original yellow I was hoping for.

I'm petite and prefer the shaft height on the big kids boots (I wear women's 6 and get these in 5). I've had several pairs over the years. I kept one pair in the attic and discovered that there were fine cracks all over the surface of both boots. I don't know if this is a quality issue or if they were caused by temperature/moisture fluctuations of the attic environment. Last year I decided I wanted classic yellow but after trying out 2 pairs I gave up. The quality is not the same. The material is thinner than ones from just a few years ago; you could easily see through the yellow and the thin shaft was prone to becoming misshapen. Also, the soles were not even; it felt like I had a rock in my shoe but it turned out to be a bump on the bottom of the boot; it wasn't super noticeable unless you held up the boot to your eyeline. Weird, bumpy soles were an issue for both pairs. I'm still wearing two of my older, better made pairs and would like to get another (bright color) but I'm not confident they'd meet my expectations. Why do companies take something tried and true and change it, just to save money? You lose customers that way!

My daughter was looking forward to getting her own Hunter boots. We received them and when she opened the damaged box, they were covered in white fur dander. I had to wipe the boots down in order for her to try them on since my daughter has severe allergies. The boots fit perfect but we aren’t keeping boots that have been worn and are covered in pet dander. I contacted Zappos customer service immediately. I questioned the customer service representative to see if products are inspected before sending out to customers because these shouldn’t have been sent in that condition. The customer service representative stated that she could send out another pair and didn’t answer my question. Another pair of boots are being shipped, hopefully brand new ones this time! I was the one inconvenienced today when I had to drive 30 minutes each way to the closest UPS drop off to send back the USED boots they had originally sent.

I’ve ordered hunters from this site before. Not sure if i received a defective pair or fake pair. I just bought these in March of 2022 to replace my old green pair. It’s Sept 2022 today. Two months in, these pair started to give off an ashy color. If you know Hunter, this does not happen what so ever. I probably wore these about 7/8 times total. Stepped in no mud or snow. By wear 4/5 is when I noticed the color lifting but I thought maybe I was buggin. Tried wiping down and everything but no difference. My last hunters lasted me 5 years. No color lift or anything.

Very disappointed in the fit. I have bought Hunter boots for years. These are not the same quality and fit.
