Dansko Fan be prepared to be disappointed. I have always been a fan of Danskos and having been wearing them 15 years now. There is a huge difference in the quality of these shoes verses my older pairs. The new shoes are wearing faster than anticipated and there is signifiant scuffing on the toe after a half dozen wears. These shoe are no longer worth the full asking price. Sad to say I think it is time to find a new favorite brand.

The Professionals are different from other Danskos (that look superficially the same) in two ways: they come in different widths, and they fit tighter across the instep. I found I needed a Wide, and the tightness across the instep bothered me even in the Wide width. I love Danskos, but I think I'll stick to the non-Professionals from now on.

These are so comfortable. I haven't worn anything else this winter. I walk to work (1 mile each way), teach on a hard linoleum floor, run up and down stairs all day, and run errands around town by foot, and these are super comfortable. I wear a 7.5 in most shoes and I got a 38 and it is perfect. I plan to order these in brown later this season. I wear them with black dress socks (medium thickness, knee-high) or opaque black tights. Great for conferences and travel. I won't wear these with anything other than long pants...I am toying with wearing them with black opaque tights and wool skirts but my style doesn't really match their vibe. Maybe later in life. I love how they make me about 2 inches taller without a stiletto heel. I wouldn't wear these on ice, though, that is for sure! And I can't run super fast in them, like if I am trying to catch a bus. Slippery. But for fall and dry winter weather, you can't beat these.

I ordered these clogs in wide and couldn't even get it on my foot. I really wanted them to fit since I've heard great things about Dansko clogs. I wish these hadn't come up in my extra-wide shoe search.

So sad the shoe fits so tight at the instep. I ordered a size larger based on earlier comments but it still is really uncomfortable. Guess Danskos are not for me!

Many years ago I bought a pair of Dansko/Sanita clogs (when they were still the same company) in size 38 and loved them, but the soles finally split and it was time to replace. I usually wear a 7.5 WW, so I ordered a Dansko 38 W and couldn't even get my foot in. Then I tried a 39 W and got my foot in, but with much discomfort. In short, the wide sizes are not truly wide. However, I tried a Sanita wide and was pleased to discover that they run wider than the Dansko. If you have a really wide foot, I recommend starting with Sanita.

I am disappointed that this shoe did not last as long as the prior pair I ordered. I'm wondering if anyone else is complaining that the portion that runs over the top of the foot is fraying at the edge?

I debated long and hard before spending what seems a lot of money for clogs. BUT if you read the reviews - and I did, these clogs are worth the price. I spend a lot of time of my feet and wanted something that could go from a casual day a the office to a soccer field to a barn (yup - lots of mud). These shoes are super comfortable and easy to clean AND look nice. As for sizing, I am a 6.5 with a more narrow heel so the37 European (6.5-7) was perfect. Definitely size up rather than down is you are questioning what to purchase.

These are my favorite shoe. I wear an 11 in women's so I get a mens 42 as I have a narrow foot and this size works for me. However there is problem. It's the quality of materials. My last pair (which I had for at least 5 years) wore fine except for the top piping (trim). I get cordovan and the trim is a contrasting black. The trim on my last pair starting wearing away the top after a while but I figured I had gotten my fair use out of them so no complaints. However, this pair was purchased last month and worn maybe 15 times. As you can see from the photo the trim on the left side of the left shoe has worn away. Now if the trim was entirely black it wouldn't be a problem, but as you can see the black is just covering the trim cord and it is whitish gray. I realize it must be the rubbing of my pant leg against the shoe but still....I think if the quality of trim was better this wouldn't happen. They look worn-out and they are less than 6 weeks old! I will take it to my shoe repair man and have it dyed but that is too much trouble for such a new shoe. Sadly, this will be my last pair of Danskos. Zappos is great about returns and exchanges, actually the best company I have dealt with online. I am wondering if anyone else has this problem or is my pair just a fluke?

I purchased these shoes in black leather. I love the look, however they are extremely narrow and can't stand wearing them after a few minutes. I have tried many different ways to stretch them but have not been sucessful, any suggestions?

I purchased two pair of Men's Sanita clogs a little more than six months ago. The black patent leather pair is falling apart! This after alternating between my Merrell winter boots, Frye cowboy boots and Salomon running shoes from purchase until now. My point is I am no stranger to quality footwear. I have been wearing Dansko and Sanita for more than 30 years. These are the most crappy poorly Chinese manufactured shoes I haver ever seen. The outer sole on the left foot and right foot is cracked from instep to out.  Also on both left and right foot the treads at the ball position and the outer heel of the foot is separating from the shoe. I spent nearly $200.00 for these garbage products and want my money back for the Black patent leather ones! The brown ones are ONLY in good shape because I have other brown shoes and I HARDLY ever wear them. I am a lover of good comfortable shoes. I buy 5-6 fashion shoes yearly. I only buy work shoes as needed. I should not have to replace these so soon. The first pair of Danskos I purchased I owned for 7 years. The second pair 9 years Seeing as I do have to replace them I will not be purchasing any more from Dansko or Sanita. Instead I'll have them custom made by Sven Clogs and get my money's worth. I will repost this problem everywhere I buy shoes where this brand is sold. In addition all my friends, family and co workers who are nurses, social workers, therapists, aides, drivers, doctors and officers who must wear good comfortable shoes will be informed of what a shoddy product these are. Money is too hard to earn to waste.

I have worn Dansko shoes for over 10 years. I have a very bad knee and need the support. Dansko is the only one that does the job.

I ordered this clog along with the Pro XP similar looking clog to see which one I liked better since I couldn't remember which I'd ordered in the past. This "Dansko Professional" is definitely the classic clog. It fit perfectly. I have always ordered my Danskos in size 41, although I'm traditionally a size 9.5 to 10, I size up for these since your heel is supposed to come out a bit when you walk. The 41 was perfect; however, the 41 in the Pro XP was very large on me. A great buy that will last me a year or two of constant wear.

what happened to Danskos, the arch support is not there! I have worn same Danksos clog for over 25 years, I literally compare my old with new. The arch support is barely there. My old dansko same clog, has a visible higher arch. Returning asap. Why change something that works? cut costs, change manufacturing, but one thing is consistent the cost. will not pay for sub par quality. I would rather wear my old worn out Dansko clog with excellent arch support for my high arch and plantar fasciitis.

I've had my last pair of danskos for just about 10 years, I still have them and wear them all the time. I ordered a new pair for work and it's like a completely different shoe. They hurt my feet, they're too narrow (I have wide feet but ordered the wide size), the leather started scratching and scuffing off the first time I wore them. Huge disappointment. I won't be buying again.

These shoes are a great "old faithful". I tried to save money by purchasing non-Dansko shoes to replace my old ones which got holes in the soles after 5+ years of constant use. I finally came back to what I know is a great shoe: the traditional clog style of Dansko! Sturdy, easy to clean, warm in the winter, and looks great with jeans, wool shirts, or business casual wear. These shoes are a bit more red in color than the photo shows- I was happy for this, but others may be surprised! They also have a nice shine. I've gotten many compliments on them. One thing to note: these are quite snug across the top of the foot. My feet are super narrow, so this is great for me. It may feel constricting to someone with wide feet, or someone who likes to wear very thick socks.

What happened to these Danskos? I've worn the Professional for over 20 years. Now I can't find a pair that fits correctly. The last pair I ordered has come closest but the opening for your foot is much bigger than it has ever been. I guess this would be good if you have a fat foot.

I work VERY long hours on my feet. These shoes have saved my back over the past 17 years. They DO need to be broken in...this can take awhile. BUT THEY LAST ME FOR YEARS. My biggest beef is with size. I can order three of the exact same shoe, and NONE of them will fit the same. It’s frustrating. But, what can you do?....

I have been wearing Dansko clogs for over 10 years. I ordered my usual size of 37 narrow but they have now changed them and they are larger. I even compared the length to my older ones to see it. I’ll try a smaller size and hope they fit...

I wish I had seen other reviews prior to my purchase. I have owned Danskos and these felt much tighter in width. So sad as I finally found a pink pair and now am sending back.

Oh, Dansko...what the heck happened?! My last Danskos, which were made in the Czech Republic, lasted well over 14 years. That was with wearing them almost always during spring, fall and winter. The soles finally cracked. They were 39 Narrow and I was fitted at a shoe store. They fit like a dream. I am typically an 8 to an 8.5, and the 39 narrow allowed for a slight amount of room for my toes and heels to move, yet still felt like it fit my foot. Fast forward to now. I've tried several pair, because I know they can be stapled differently and affect sizing. All of the 39 Narrow feel like my feet are sloshing around inside the shoe. I tried the 38 Narrow and my toes hit the front. I noticed Dansko's sizing is 38= 7-7.5 and size 39= 8.5-9. There is a gap for those wearing size 8-8.5. I'm sure this applies to other sizes as well. These were my favorite shoes in the world, and I'm upset that I can't find a size that fits. Had I known all those years ago, I would have bought 5 pair and kept them on my closet shelf.

I love my Dansko's! They are definitely designed for a wider foot, and provide great space over the top,of the foot and toe area. I recently tried Sanita's brand, and cannot wear them. Great shoe for the narrow, skinny foot, but not for me. I'm a Dansko girl! Having arthritis means only top notch footwear, and this shoe is it for me! Also have to give kiddos to Zappos, thanks for shipping overseas for us military folks, and with super speed!
