This shoe seems anatomically incorrect. The thong meets the insole too close to the center. The result was that my big toe had a bunch of extra room next to it, and my foot as a whole was misaligned from the shoe. For example, with the shoes parallel to each other, my actual feet had to point outward (not straight parallel) to fit into the shoes. This issue was true of both my regular size and one size down. I therefore have to return these shoes.

I first ordered this in a 9, my usual Teva size. ENORMOUS. Then I ordered it in an 8. Also enormous. It has the look I want right now, the price is super, but it has not got the fit.
I'd also recommend:
Any clown shoes would do.

I just wanted to write a quick updated review now that I've worn them a few times. These are the first Teva sandals I've owned and they definitely won't be the last. I've worn them for camping, kayaking and a few 2 mile walks and they have been awesome! I loved being able to walk along the beach and get me feet wet without taking my shoes off. Getting in and out of the kayak with these sandals was great too. What really impressed me though was when I wore them to the zoo yesterday and was able to walk 5.5 miles in them! I didn't develop a single blister and my feet felt great! My feet weren't sore at all at the end of the trip and I never felt the need to take a break as my feet never felt tired. It was pretty hot, and it was nice being able to wear something besides sneakers to keep my feet cool. These are also a much more fashionable option to wear if you don't want to look touristy in gym shoes that don't match your outfit! I'm in my twenties and I still want to look cute while being comfortable. :-) I love love love my Tevas!

Sadly, I had to return this shoe because the straps in the front were too tight. Someone with a narrow-to-average toe box will probably be okay with it. I have a bony foot but a wide toe box. I love the minimalist look of the shoe, and it is very comfortable (other than the front straps). I hope Teva will loosen the front straps in their next version of this shoe.

As reported by other reviewers, the ankle straps are too short on these particular Tevas. I don't have large ankles but these hit at an odd spot and at an odd angle making my ankle look large. The straps were too short which "squished" into my skin making my ankles appear large and pudgy. A very unflattering fit. Also, the toe strap was a little stiff and thick which was uncomfortable as well. I've never had a Teva brand shoe and heard they were great. These were disappointing. Ordered the Sketchers On The Go 400 (for $10.00 less) and am MUCH happier!

Love these sandals!! They are supportive and easy to adjust! I'm usually a size 10 but could have sized down to a 9 1/2 if teva offer half sizes. I have mine in black but really want the white ones!

Purchased these for my first trip to the frio, they were perfect! Usually a 7.5 but the 7 was perfect. Swam/walked in the river, hiked Through different terrain, even went on a bike ride... These shoes are seriously so comfortable! They didn't get loose of fall off once. But them, you won't regret it!

I bought these to wear for walking around Guatemala while 6 months pregnant. My husband and I planned and paid to hike around Pacaya Volcano using appropriate footwear, however, the airline lost our luggage and I was left with one spare of clothes and the shoes... Teva sandals... On my feet. The only thing that wasn't sore at the end of the hike were my feet! Incredible! I absolutely love these sandals. They are so comfortable and supportive I now wear them whenever I can.

I bought these sandles to go tubing in the river and hike in the mountain and I loved them they are super comfortable and well made. They have great arch support and are great for walking. I will say that when they get wet the straps tend to stretch out a little but it's not a dramatic stretch and once they dry they go back to normal. These sandles are perfect.

First off I have a bit of a complaint BUT IN A GOOD WAY!! Why are these sandals only made in solid black whereas all the other styles have several color/designs to choose from?!?!? I love these SO MUCH and SO SAD black is all there is to choose from! Please make more colors Teva!!!!! These are very cute, comfy and fit me like a glove! I highly recommend!

I LOVE THESE SHOES. I've had my tevas for a year now and wear them non stop. I finally decided to review after finishing a 15 mile hike in the Grand Canyon in my tevas. I spent the last few days in Havasu falls, and even did a 100 foot descent on chains and ladders (Mooney falls) in my tevas. I wear them as a summer camp counselor, during hikes, and out and about while running errands. So much cheaper than other sandals and more versatile. Casual and cute! The best part? Run em under water for a few seconds and they're as good as new!!

This shoe is so awesome! It arrived quickly and I put them on immediately and they are so comfortable. It chafes slightly but only needs breaking in and then they're perfect! Lovely to just slip on and go. The bottom is durable and flexible.. I will be purchasing another pair in a different style.

I've never bought Tevas before, so I wasn't sure how true to size they are. I almost always wear an 8, so that's what I ordered, and they fit perfect. I haven't gotten an chance to wear them out yet, but I feel like they will be very comfortable as I've worn them around my apartment without experiencing any issues. The insole has a texture that is slightly rough (probably for better grip when wet), but it's not bothersome. The strap around the ankle is soft and comfortable as well. I bought these mainly for camping and water activities such as kayaking. They don't really work with my everyday style, but I could see myself wearing these for very casual outings when I'd have to walk a lot (like for a water park or maybe an outdoor festival). Overall, I'm happy with my purchase and can't wait to use them for my upcoming camping trip!

Love these shoes!! I've worn them for 25 years on a day to day basis after I can finally pull off my work heels. They are comfortable, soothing, durable (waaaaaay durable, still wearing a pair from 6 years ago!!). I wear them after work, before work, going out, hanging out and even while I hike. Do your hard worked feet a huge favor & buy yourself a pair!!

Great for everyday use and better than normal flip flops. Never buying flip flops again. I'm a 8 1/2 but bought the 9 and it's perfect. Room left but not too much room. Pattern is very awesome.

Years ago, I received some Chacos sandals as a gift - they were cute and durable, but so incredibly uncomfortable and ruined many of my hikes due to blistering and chafing. Today, I tried these sandals on and they are like a DREAM. The footbed (unlike Chacos) is soft, and has great traction. The straps are also soft and comfortable. Teva has been making sandals for a LONG time -- they know what they're doing. I wear a 7 in most things, but in sandals, usually a 6.5. I got a 6 and they fit perfectly - just measure your feet before ordering and you'll be fine. On top of their comfort, they are also really cute and not bulky. I'm stoked.

I thought the size was true; however the ankle strap was about 1/2 too short. I could have worn it but if my ankle swelled at all it would have been unbearable...sadly returning.

I have recently, in the last few years, become interested in minimalist footwear. I wore Birkenstock and Chaco sandals for around 15 years. They were too clunky most of the time and not too comfortable, but the Chacos were durable and reliable so I wore them until they died. I love my minimalist Vibram Five Fingers shoes and my minimalist Unshoes sandals, but I wanted something more rugged but still light. I am so glad to have these Teva sandals now. It's hard to believe it's my first pair of Teva shoes. I wish that the the footbed was molded. It's virtually flat. I also prefer a somewhat curved sole or slight "rocker bottom" for more of a lower leg exercise when walking.

I love these Tevas! I had owned Tevas as a kid and mostly use them for outdoor use. These are super cute so I definitely will be wearing them for more than just outdoor sports. The only thing I noticed about the sandals fit wise was the ankle strap fits snug. It's not uncomfortable, but doesn't leave too much adjustment room.

I shopped for a pair of Tevas to replace my circa 2004 flip flops that I loved until they died. Neither the new "original" Teva flip flops nor the flip flops with the fancy cross bands work for me; they're too narrow. I tried these "originals" with ankle straps on and first impression was pretty good, actually. They were wide enough across my toes and the ankle strap adjusted nicely. I walked around in them a little bit feeling hopeful and, well, no. Problem was with the way the toe strap hit...just wrong. Hurt that delicate skin between the toes. Darn. These would have been so perfect otherwise. The fit of the old Tevas (ie wide enough) with the stability of an ankle strap. Brilliant! I ended up buying a pair of the Teva beach sandals (Barracuda) instead, for the same price. I really wanted the flip flops, but gotta go with comfort at my age. These are definitely worthy of a try, though. For what it's worth, I generally wear a 9 but would have needed an 8 in these.

I am a huge fan of Teva sandals and hike in them almost everyday. I thought this looked like a nice sandal for more everyday use. I bought the Pike's Teal which is a gorgeous Southwestern motif and the glorious pink, a wonderful pop of bright and fresh pink. When I first tried them on I was wondering if I had made a mistake since I have a larger bone structure and substantial ankles. I had to do a little manipulation of the ankle strap before it fit, it could be a little longer for me. I am sure for ladies with thin ankles this will not be an issue at all. I also have issues with boots having a larger muscular calf so this is not something new to me. Now that I have figured out the easiest way to get them on and the miracle of Velcro hold them on, I do love them and find them to be great for daily activity.

These sandals are pretty true to their sizing, but for my long feet and short toes, the front pinched at certain angles of walking, particularly at first before breaking them in. The I find the ankle straps very flattering. The issue with these is that the sandal strap body, frays pretty easily. There is an extra patch of velcro that causes a lot of fraying between the ankles, which I have shown in a photo; I have no clue to the purpose of this feature. In less than one week these sandals already appear aged; otherwise I really would recommend these to all who are looking for a sandal for all casual and active occasions.

These are my favorite sandals, and they have been sold out for two years. I wear them everyday in the summer and most weekends the rest of the year. I bought a different brind as a back up and they arent as comfortable nor versatile as the TEVA OG. These are comfortable even with bad rhuematic feet, they stay on and they hold up. Please TEVA bring them back, I don't have a back up pair
