Fellow Zappies: Update from my 04/01/14 post. I got these in my full, true size -- 11M (and I have slightly longish toes). My only ''not-sure-about" type comment was about the slightly pointed front of the shoes squishing my toes too much. After a week of Break-In (indoors, on dog-hair ridden carpet only), am happy to report the leather on these Fryes is so supple that I know they're stretching in that area. It's not the shoes. It's my stupid toes. To my sisters who wear hi-heeled/hi-wedged, stilettoed, above 2" high shoes: I know. They're gorgeous. Works of Art, even. I only speak for myself, here, but enjoy 'em while you can. I'm now in my 50's and my toes are knee-deep in their nefarious revenge for the last 30 years of "enhanced interrogation" on my part. My search for comfy shoes that don't look like the ones my Italian grandmother wore till death is kind of like seeking the Ark of the Covenant. Where's the Indiana Jones sequel to that, I wonder? Anyway, final answer: like most Fryes I've bought, I'd forgotten a little break-in time is all I needed. If your size is there, and you want 'em, buy 'em.

These shoes were comfortable right out of the box. Soft leather, easy to slip on. After a walk and many hours of wear, I did start to get blisters on my heels - but I think this is something that will stop once they are broken in. (And I have a tendency to get blisters). These shoes look well made and like they will last for a long time if you take care of them. If you are looking for a casual slip on shoe for light walking around (and don't want to wear TOMS like everyone else in the world) I highly recommend this shoe!

I really love this shoe. Nicer than wearing a regular "tennis shoe" while still being casual and comfortable. Worn right out of the box without any issues. I am usually a size 8 in most shoes and this fit perfectly in an 8. I got the black and I just love them. Very happy with this purchase.

Finally, a casual, comfy shoe that doesn't scream old lady! It's taken me three years to finally find a replacement for my cute Puma Xandy flats. I like Vionics for compfy shoes, but their flats were more dressy than casual. All the other comfortable options had unflattering large, square toe boxes that made my size 9.5 feet look even larger and ungainly. They also all resembled my 85 year old mom's orthodic shoes. No thanks. Plus, all those were wool or fabric so getting caught in a shower meant soaked feet. These are leather, and while not waterproof, provide a bit more protection. The toe box on these taper, but not too much, so my toes are not squashed. My wide-ish feet are super comfortable in these, which means that they may be too wide for those with narrow feet. The leather is almost glove leather soft, and will stretch. There's no support, but an insert takes care of that problem. These are perfect paired with jeans or yoga pants for running errands or even to yoga (if we're ever allowed to do that again). These are also comfy enough to wear while traveling (someday). I just ordered three more pair in other colors.

I am very happy with these shoes. I saw the Burnt Red Antique and I knew I had to have them. The leather is soft and they were comfortable right out of the box. The arch support is modest and I did notice some fatigue after being on my feet for 14 hours. I liked them so much, I bought another pair in black. :)

These are the absolute most comfortable shoes I've ever had on my feet. There was no break in period; they are great straight out of the box. I can wear them all day at work with no problem. I bought three colors (black, cognac and grey) and I'm considering buying a back up pair in black. I did have to size up 1/2 size.

This shoe is beautiful. Like a leather sneaker only better. Perfect with jeans, leggings, crops, just lounging around, etc. I usually wear a wide in most shoes, probably would have liked that but since it's all leather it will stretch.

I love the look of these but should have known better. They are too wide (I need Narrow but sometimes a wide shoe will fit). So they gapped in the heel and I know I could put in a heel pad. BUT I always wear 9 1/2, sometimes even 9, and oddly these were too short. Considering trying a 10 but likely the heel will gap even more. Sigh.

These little flats are the cutest! The leather is gorgeous and very soft. I got them is a golden yellow color a few years ago and loved them so much I got them in the Cognac this year. Would love one in every color, but they are a bit pricy for that, and that is the only thing I see as a down side to them.

This is a very good looking shoe. Exactly what I was looking for... a little bit of a dressier slip-on shoe. Other slip-on shoes were very tight on the top of my foot. But these were not tight there, they were a little tight in the toe box when I first tried them on. The first few times that I wore them out of the house, they rubbed the back of foot, although I did not get any blisters. It took a few wears (4-5), but now they have stretched a little and are very comfortable. I got them in the yellow and they go with everything. The bottoms of my shoes also had black marks straight out of the box, I think it's supposed to be a distressed look, not necessarily from use.

The toe box is pointy and is somewhat squeezing my big toe, almost feels too narrow in the front. The rest of the shoe feels wide and you can see a gap at the top in my photos. The color on Grey Antique is uneven and differs between the two sizes I got (8 and 8.5). All things considered, I may keep the smaller size and hope that the leather stretches because I like the color better and the gap up top. Shoes seem well made. The “gray” is really more of a beige.

These are the best flats EVER! They are absolutely adorable and the most comfortable flats I have ever worn. I bought them in all the colors and am now wondering if I should buy back up pairs in case they stop making them!

I bought thee for an upcoming trip where I will be doing a lot of walking but wanted something with a little more style that I could wear during evening. They're wonderful. Have been wearing them around for 2 days. Very comfortable. (I have flat arch). I agree with sizing up 1/2 size

Absolutely love these, they are super comfortable, especially after a few wears. I am normally an 8.5 with a wide-ish foot, and the 8.5 fit perfectly.

I love these shoes! I'm a teacher and wear these every single day to run around my classroom. I like that these shoes are a hybrid between a flat and a sneaker. I've gotten paint and dirt on them and they just get better with age. I buy a new pair every year and I hope that Frye will keep making them. They're always a little snug right out of the box, but they stretch out and look great after a week. I have size 11 feet and these are perfect.

Got stretched out after a month not worth the price

I have another pair of these shoes in red which are 7.5, a half size smaller than I usually wear, so I ordered these shoes that size and they fit fine. Love the Fire’s quality!

The leather inside and out fits beautifully.

Super comfy. Have bought several pairs in black. The only complaint is they don’t wear as well for as long as I would like. They stay comfy, but the leather can start to look worn and tired, less “polished”. Anyway, I still I’ve them and keep ordering a new pair when they need replacing.

They are beautiful and felt comfortable from the first time I put them on. They look and feel luxurious and I'm excited to get more wear out of them this fall. I can see how they would rub a bit on the heal, but they haven't rubbed enough to give me blisters. I recommend wearing socks with them as the bottom can get sweaty and stick to your feet.

I was looking for a comfortable traveling shoe. This shoe fits the bill. I followed the advice of several reviewers and ordered a 1/2 size up. Perfect! The leather is so very soft and there seems to be a good bit of inside padding which I need. Great look on your feet. I have a medium foot but a little on the narrow side. This is going to be my go to shoe for everything! Thank you Zappos....we had a few “send backs” before getting the perfect one.

I love these shoes/sneakers. I have thin and sensitive skin so wearing a flat like this usually leads to blisters on my heels. Wore all day today and no blisters, no sore spots - great shoes.
