We bought this for my middle schooler who needed space for 3 3" binders. This has a tremendous capacity, and six weeks into school is holding up well. The two other pockets you can see in the picture hold a cell phone and some pencils. I would highly recommend the JanSport.

I expected this backpack to be as sturdy as my last Jansport. It's not There's no reinforcement at the bottom, the fabric is lighter weight. Also, it's a large and roomy pack which is great when it's full, but there are no side straps to cinch it down when the pack isn't filled to capacity. It becomes really floppy. I'll keep it as a day pack for clothes and short trips, but not a great pack for just the media equipment and work supplies.

This is a great backpack for my middle schooler! We love it and it is comfortable and the perfect size.

Love the color. Bought this for a diaper bag (two babies) and it works great. Watched lots of Zappos videos of backpacks until finally deciding this was the bag for me. Comfy to wear and LOTS of depth compared to other models of this type of backpack.

Very roomy backpack! Great for my high school son. He can easily fit his English and algebra books in it with 3 notebooks.

So far so good with this backpack. Had lots of room for my new middle schooler. We picked this style over other jansports backpacks solely because if the outer water bottle holder.

the backpack has lots of space! the laptop sleeve fit my 15 inch macbook pro that has a case on it! i’ve had jansport backpacks before, and they last a very long time! this one i ordered is replacing a jansport backpack i had for 5 years! shipping was also SUPER fast and free!

This backpack is awesome. Super comfy, lots of pockets, and you can fit a lot of stuff in here. I carry a laptop for work all the time and the briefcase wasn't working. I switched to this and now have plenty of room for my laptop, an 1 1/2 binder, multiple notebooks, pens, laptop charger, and more. Very happy with my purchase. The straps are very comfortable. And I love the grey color.

I am in a lot of Jansport backpacks and I love them. I was skeptical about the benefit of a backpack with a special laptop section.... but this is great! The padded section for laptop mean stuff the laptop is not hitting me in the back as I walk. I am 60 and I walk around my city 3-6 miles a day, including to work with my backpack.

I was hesitant, I know jansport is a very popular brand, but they have always seemed a little flimsy. I finally caved. It is much roomier than the other brands I’ve purchased, has plenty of pockets, and I’m a huge fan of the laptop sleeve! Only time will tell if it is durable.

As a student backpack, this is a very large backpack and works great only if you are carrying a large amount of stuff every day (a laptop, books, binders, gym clothes, lunches etc) If you don't fill it, it is sloppy, hard to carry and looks dorky, according to my teenage son. There are no side straps to help it keep its shape when it is not full. We ordered a new, smaller JanSport (which still holds a 15" laptop in a padded sleeve) and will use this one for travelling. Too big. No shape.
