Customer Reviews School Issue Varsity (Toddler/Little Kid/Big Kid)

This is a very sturdy shoe, great for school. They are fairly heavy and last a long time. They are easy to stain, but that is easily remedied with white shoe polish. When they scuff the underlying gray suede will show. I covered it with white polish for an imperfect fix. There isn't much cinching ability when we tie the shoe, which is unfortunate since my daughter has narrow feet and cannot make the shoe feel as snug as she would like.

These shoes look nice and fit my daughter well, but beware of this brand. This manufacturer uses thick industrial staples in the construction of the shoe. There is a staple that was not fully closed between the bottom of the upper and the sole. After two days of use, one end of a staple pushed through the insole of the foot bed and left a small puncture wound on the bottom of my daughter's foot (she's fine). Zappos, immediately issued a refund and handled this incident to my satisfaction; the rep was very nice and I recognize this is beyond their control. I am writing this review so people who purchase this brand for their kids, though they may have had good luck in the past, inspect these shoes very carefully! Press along the foot bed and if you feel anything poking, inspect it carefully and take appropriate measures based on your inspection. Again, Zappos, handled this well. Because of this I will avoid this particular brand.

These shoes are great, they are sturdy, but comfortable at the same time. They'll be wearing them everyday during the school year. I bought a pair for one of my daughters a 1/2 size too big, but I EFFORTLESSLY exchanged them for the right size. Love Zappos!

These are very sturdy shoes. I buy them a little big at the beginning of the school year and they last the entire year. I’m about to purchase our third pair for my daughter’s upcoming school year.

I love these shoes so much and so does my daughter. I buy her all colors every since she was a toddler and she said they felt good on her feet. I got them in my size also that's how much I love them! Worth the price and they last a long time and still looks great! Thank you

I absolutely love these shoes and my daughter prefers these over her other shoes. Her foot is wide and these were perfect! They have held up so well and we could not be happier with our purchase.
