Oh vey! First I tried a pair of 7 wide. I ordinarily wear a 7 in most brands as long as they are wide and don't hit my bunion. The size 7 felt great in the toe box, and it came up above my bunion so they were very comfortable. HOWEVER, as soon as I took a step I came right out of them. The shoes were 3/4" too long... that was the size of the gap behind my heel. So, I ordered a size 6.5. Too tight, and the heel was still too loose. These shoes are beautiful, and they appear to be very well made out of quality leather. I wish they would have fit. :-( ORDER AT LEAST 1/2 SIZE DOWN!!! I think the ankles on these pumps are so wide, that even heel pads won't help if you too have narrow ankles. They are cushioned, so if you can get them to fit, I bet you will love them. As always, Zappos tried their best to make a quick exchange. Bravo, Zappos!

This is my first pair of Rockports I was fed up with uncomfortable shoes and in search of a low-heel dressy looking pump. I absolutely love these shoes. Right out of the box the are comfortable. I agree with other reviewers - I usually wear a 6-6½ and ordered a 6 and the fit is perfect. The toe box is wide enough to not aggravate bunion (many pumps seem to run narrow). The heel does not rub and stays in place. The heel height is so comfortable with the hidden platform. All pumps should be so comfortable! There is only moderate arch support. Though with plantar fasciitis I have worn these two days in a row without heel inserts - yay! I also really love that the shoes are not noisy when walking on hard surfaces like most heels. I would highly recommend these and hope that they come out in other colors.

The positive: I love these! They are some of the most comfortable pumps I've ever owned. I walk a lot for work and I am able to wear these shoes for 12 hours without any problems. I've put a few outdoor miles on them and they are still in great condition. I will be buying these shoes in more colors! The negative: The color is a bit different than seen in photo. It is a bit more beige than pink. They were also significantly larger than expected. I typically wear a 10. In these shoes the 10 was way too big. I exchanged them for a 9.5 which are still a teeny bit too big, but more comfortable than the 9s.

After having these sit in my closet for a couple of months, I finally decided that I'd keep them. I find it's hard to find comfortable and stylish shoes with a lower heel, without looking dowdy. I'm still not sure they aren't dowdy! I haven't worn them yet, other than in my bedroom, so the jury's still out on comfort.

I have had these shoes in taupe for awhile now and they are the most comfortable heels I have ever worn. I loved these so much I just purchased another pair. I can barely wear most heels for more than an hour with out my feet being in pain but in these I can wear them for about 6 hours. I highly recommend these heels.

The taupe is a great color, and I love the low heel. It has amazing padding. However this shoe runs very wide, and I have a narrow foot. If the width is not a problem for you, I'd recommend sizing up a half size.

Based on other reviews, I sized down and ordered a 7M (I'm usually a 7 1/2). It was way too small so I'm sending it back. However, when I tried it on, the shoe was super cute and definitely comfortable so I'll give the next size up a try.

These are by far the most comfortable pair of stylish heels I have purchased in a long time. I stopped wearing heels during pregnancy (and due to flare ups of plantar fasciitis) and had a hard time going back even a few years later. I've worn Cole Haan wedges to work for a while as they are comfortable and still give me a little lift. But I had an event coming up that really did call for true heels and I decided it was time. I tried what felt like a million pairs and the task felt daunting now that comfort is top of my priority list. The name of these shoes is accurate with these as I can wear them all day long. I originally purchased the black smooth and came back to purchase them in a nude. The "rich taupe" is far too dark for my taste and the "taupe patent" is too pink, so I returned them, very disappointed. I'm watching this listing in the hopes that they make a true nude in the future. For now I'm getting the navy to go along with the black pair I have, and am happy to have some true (comfortable!) heels in my closet again.

I ordered my usual size 9 in patent nude (color is fine, wish it were a tad darker) and it was too big. My heel slipped out as others have noted. I went down a half size and that did the trick. Although, my toes are slightly squashed even though the over all shoe length fits my foot. I think once broken in this will not be a problem. Very cushiony and comfortable, I must say.

I could stick my whole index finger in the back of the heel when I had these on. Also, it was marked as patent leather on the box, but it was plain black leather. Not sure if they were in the wrong box?

I wanted to love these shoes. They are comfortable, stylish, easy to walk in and lots of padding in the sole. BUT the heel doesn't come packaged with any material to keep it's shape and the heel end seems to have been squeezed together. I sent it back and when I received another set of shoes, they had the same issue. I decided to keep them and thought the heel would round itself back out with some use (it's almost a v shape out of the package). Well, the first day resulted in blister where the heel portion of the shoe drastically vees inward instead of maintaining the natural line of the shoe. I am going to try to use a blow dryer to re shape the heel part so I can wear these shoes. All that aside, I really do love the look and feel of the rest of the shoe. I have looked for a pair of work shoes for years and these fit the bill!

I am bummed. The vamp on this shoe is low and hits me right on my bunions (which have been surgically improved). They are going back. The style, comfort are just fine if you are looking for a basic dress pump.

Best shoe ever! I bought them in both heel sizes. They are so comfortable, my husband said I would never be able to wear the high heel pump he was impressed when he saw me walk in them also the bottom of the shoe is wonderful. The low pump does not feel like a 2+ inch heel at all. I had to take it off to measure it. Lol!

Love the look but these run quite large. They appear a bit pink on screen but are a true taupe when you receive them at home. Surprisingly sexy for a 2.5-inch heel.

I have these pumps in the black suede, so I knew they would fit. So comfortable. The photo looks a bit pink on my IPad, but it is taupe. Love the color it makes for a longer legged look.

I am trying to find heels to wear to work, but I cannot easily tolerate high heels. I wear dressy suits, and my assistant calls me the "queen of the lady suit" (somewhat derogatory, but I know what she means). I was a bit skeptical about Rockport shoes, as I associate the brand with super comfortable outdoorsy shoes or comfortable shoes that my father (a professor that did not care about fashion) used to wear. That said, I figured Rockports would at least be comfortable, and these definitely are comfortable. Wearing them is almost like wearing sneakers, because there is a puff of cushion at the ball of the foot. In addition, the soles resemble the tread of a much more comfortable shoe - not the usual slippery sole of a heel. There is a little bit of a platform at the front of the foot that probably adds to the comfort but detracts (in my opinion) from the elegance of the shoe, but it is subtle. Overall, these are a keeper for heels that are truly comfortable and can be worn with dressy suits as well.

I usually wear an 8 in heel to give a bit of space to avoid blisters, but based on reviews, I took the advise and went a bit smaller (not a full size, but half a size( there was still a bit of room, however, if you intend to wear without hose, it will be perfect. They definitely run about a 1/2 to full size larger than standard, but I like the bit of room to avoid blisters.

Great height and super comfortable. There's nice padding and ball of foot support. I can stand in them and walk in them all day without feeling the usual discomfort from pumps. Heel is also nicely balanced so I don't feel like I am teetering on them. There are also rubber strips on the soles to prevent slipping on slick flooring. I plan to buy other colors.

I have bunions and need a wide size, but it is so hard to find W shoes in my size 5.5. Rockport is one of the very few brands that offer shoes in styles that I actually like in my size. I got these to replace similar ones I'd purchased at a famous retailer that is now out of business. These fit perfectly and are very comfortable. I don't really like the slight platform sole, but I can live with it.

I ordered a half size down (I am a 6.5) per reviews bot was squished in the toes. I found the toe coverage a little shorter than expected compared with the pictures, although no toe cleavage showed on me. This in combination with the rounded shape of the toe made it look a little too bulbous, but not too objectionable. I will try ordering my normal size, since they did feel comfortable and I like the medium high heel.

I wanted to love this shoe but I just cannot wear anything with a pointed toe. This one did not look that pointed but it is so they were immediately uncomfortable for me. That being said, the foot bed looks sturdy and felt like it would be comfortable in a different style shoe. If you can comfortably wear pointed toes....go for it!

Smooth pair of classic black pumps with a slight platform on the front to make the heel height more palatable for those of us not used to it. The leather was high quality and the footbed soft, but I did have some toe cleavage. However, that may have been because they were about a half size too large - I'm a small 11, and these were far too big, never mind the fact they would have stretched a bit as well. I'm sad to return these especially because they were on sale, though Rachel Zoe did say that the black bootie was the new pump...at least out in LA.

I'm usually a 9.5, but the 9.5 were so large they wouldn't stay on my feet when I walk. I returned them and ordered a size 9. The 9's are so small I can barely get my foot in. So bizarre! I'm really disappointed because the larger size was ridiculously comfortable. I really felt like I could run a marathon in them. I love the rubber soles.
