I purchased these for my 7 year old son's first communion. He had never worn dress shoes. We tried on several styles and brands, including some high end brands. These were the last ones he tried on. As soon as I slipped them on his feet, his eyes widened and he said, "Wow, these feel great!" He wore them the entire day without issue or complaint. They also looked great. My only complaint is that they aren't leather. Still, I kept them because they felt good on his feet, which was more important to me.

This is the second pair of School Issue shoes I bought for my son, who attends a school with a strict dress code. I love this brand. My son went an entire school year with last year's pair. Then this year I decided to shop local at a high-end shoe store to buy school shoes. Within two weeks, the shoes were beat-up and scratched. That's when I went back to Zappos and bought the Brooklyn for him. One problem I have with School Issue: The shoelaces are too short; my son can't tie a double knot in them.

I am very pleased with these shoes. My sons are rugged, and if these shoes hold up for them they will sustain anything. Good quality, will definitely last the school year and longer.

When I bought these shoes for my kindergartner I loved the look and thought they were very comfortable.After only two full weeks of school the shoes are in horrible condition. The front of both have worn away. I'm very disappointed in these shoes and the poor quality.

We started off with a more expensive brand, which didn't fit correctly and wasn't comfortable. These look almost identical but are MUCH better in terms of fit and comfort, and are much more affordable. Both my children (boy and girl) have worn this brand in the past and I have been very pleased with durability and quality. Based on other reviews, we ordered his current size and a half a size larger, but returned the larger as it fit him true to size.

Perfect boys shoe! Dressy enough to wear with khakis, even a suit, but casual enough to wear to school with jeans or cargo pants. Super comfortable for him, there was no break in period

I bought these for my 10 year old son to wear for special occasions. He doesn't normally like to wear dress shoes but when they arrived he tried them on and immediately commented how comfortable they were. I like the shoes because they are true to size, comfortable, stylish and I don't have to argue with him about wearing dress shoes. I would definitely recommend these shoes.

Perfect shoe to complete my son's uniform. They are long lasting. He plays in them at recess and they are still holding up 7 months later. I will definitely reorder.

Great looking shoe! My 9 year old son tried these on and remarked on how comfortable they are. The shoes were bought for a wedding and they will be perfect for the occasion as well as church. You can't beat the price!

Both my sons are wearing these shoes (age 7 and 10). We bought them for church and special occasions. They are dressy enough to pair with khakis, as well as a suit for a wedding and they look sharp with jeans too. Feedback from the boys: two thumbs up!

My 9 yo son hates formal events as dress shoes hurt his feet. He loved these shoes and danced in them all night. They have extra padding around the opening to the shoe which he loved. They didn't cut into his foot like the Kenneth Cole brand that we had prior. I also loved that these were cheaper but looked just as nice. The leather in these shoes are similar to the Kenneth Cole.

Overall a good big boy's shoe. They ran a bit smaller than expected though, which he complained about after wearing them for a little while. He needed them to replace a size 5 pair but 6 was more like 5 1/2. Go up a half size.

I bought these shoes for my 12 year old grandson to wear with a suit. Great looking shoes, light weight & he says they are comfortable to walk in. Love these shoes.

First time purchase of this brand. Quite surprised how well they fit/feel. Like at least as much if not better than Florsheim. I'm an adult with smaller size shoe needs. Will be buying this brand again, especially with Zappos incredible service.

My 3rd grade son wore them right out the box all day at school. He said they felt great and they look very nice with dress pants. I thought the sole seemed a little to plastic-like, not as rubbery as they should. But he didn't have any problems with traction. Like another reviewer said, the laces may be a little short. I had to double knot them for my son which wasn't a problem, but he has trouble trying to double knot them himself due to the length.

My son hates dress shoes, but needed a pair for an event. While these are not the most stylish, they were far more comfortable for him. And they look very nice.

True to size. My son doesn't like dress shoes at all but he was able to wear this comfortably.

Runs at least a full size smaller. I ordered 2 pairs. One 1/2 size smaller and the second 1 full size smaller. And unfortunately had to send both back.

I bought these uniform shoes for my five year old. They looked great and very comfortable when we got them. After only TWO weeks, the front of the shoes were completely worn away and he is unable to wear them. Save your money and get a different pair of shoes.
