Bought a size down for my 10 year old as recommended but way too small. Also, the material is very thin. Looks good on my 5 year old but not appropriate on my older daughter. Needs another layer of material over the chest.

This dress is a perfect girls maxi dress except the length is ridiculously long. My niece who always wears a 6 was still too short for her size 6 dress even after I washed and tumbled dry on high. Several inches worth of dress was still dragging on the ground. It will have to be hemmed. Aside from that, she loves it. She made comments that she looked "bigger" (as in more adult-like) and pretty. The top fit her great and the ruffles are flattering, not overwhelming. I came back to buy another dress for her 7-year-old cousin who asked me to get one for her too :) She's tall for her age but I'm still going to order her a 6. I recommend sizing down, obviously.

I bought two of these dresses for my flower girls for my wedding coming up in October - one of my flower girls is 9 and the other is 6. This dress is just perfect! Its beautiful and dressy enough for our purposes but also casual enough that they can wear them again and again. Love it! It is very long and must be hemmed but overall - beautiful!

The red is gorgeous! The material is so soft. The only problem is that because it only has one sleeve the part that is open was hard to keep up at times. But it was fine and looked beautiful.

My daughters were among 7 flower girls who all wore this dress in different sunset colors in a wedding in AZ last May. They were stunning, and comfortable all evening, in these absolutely darling dresses. Highly recommended! We might even buy some in different dresses this year.

Adorable dress for my 8 year old. Definitely runs small (she has a slender build). High cut enough at the neck line that it's an appropriate cut (not too low!) and length is great. Would be too long if she wore with flats but a little wedge sandal was perfect. Not a true navy but has a bit of purplish-hue to the blue in it. She felt really special in this dress!

Surprisingly pretty and glamorous dress, in a super comfortable soft jersey. Very flattering on different body types: I bought for my 11-year-old daughter but am tempted to keep it for myself!

i got this dress for my daughter to wear to a party on the fourth of July. She is 9 years old but tall and thin so I ordered her a 10. It fit perfect with sandals. She wore it every chance she could this summer. I was worried it might not be age appropriate with the one shoulder but with the ruffle and sash it still looks "little girl".

My granddaughter LOVES this dress, and I love you can dress it up or down! I feel it runs true to size. As others have said it runs a little long, but I'd rather that than two short. After a quick hem, it will be perfect!!!

Based on the reviews I bought a size down (size 8) for my tall, slender 10 year old. Ended up being not long enough, but the 10 is perfect. For our purposes, the length was spot on.

Absolutely adorable dress. I purchased the hot pink for my daughter and she loves it. It is a little on the longer side, but nothing a little hem can't fix. Will be ordering the purple one as well.
