Overall great shoe! Have to find the right comfort/tightness with the velcro but once you do they feel very similar to the authentic! I love them!

It was the best style among all Vans I own. The duffel bag color is great with every clothing. However, I had to return them, TWICE. I got two pairs in a row that were defected. I was really sad...because I got the last pair of that size in that color but could not keep them!! I've owned many pairs of Vans, and this is the first time I received any defects.

I love this style!! I'm so happy that Vans decided to bring back this classic shoe and now even more stylish. I used to have a pair of canvas velcro Vans back in middle school (2009) and I was so upset that I gave mine away not even thinking about the fact that Vans was going to discontinue this style.. Super happy to see that these are back and better than ever :)

These shoes are sick! Prison issue are one of the most comfy shoes out there. This color is real fresh too. I get a lot of comments on them.

Absolutely love these shoes. They are truly a maroon color that is deep and not bright. I have purchased all other colors and now feel complete with these.

I love my Vans prison issue shoes! My order arrived so quickly that I couldn't believe it. The shoes are exactly as described and arrived in perfect condition. They are so comfortable and versatile. They seem to go with everything. I love the velcro fasteners.

My husband has Parkinsons and finds it difficult to loosen and tie shoes. This style is easy for him to take on and off and comfortable to wear.

These really remind me of Converse, though I don't own any of myself...but aside from all that I'd say these are really cool in terms of style (the velcros really make it so much better). There's not much cushioning when comparing these to Vans classics such as Authentics and Eras, but they do the job and have similar feel if you like shoes like Converse and Keds. Also, the velcros probably give you more of a secure fit than lacings anyway. Awesome shoe.

These shoes are the best shoes ever! I own them in orange and black and I have not taken them off since I got them. They are stylish hip and cool but also the velcro makes my life so much easier since I have Multiple sclerosis my hands are challenge with ordination. and mobility in my hand and fingers, but this shoes I can put them on and off so easily better than all the shoes that I own. These shoes rock... Zappos please let me know if you get them In and any other color! :)

Got these because the white laces on converse started bothering me making NY foot look long.. These are great and they do not look like old people sneakers because of he Velcro straps! They are easy on and off...

These shoes are very comfortable! I've worn them all day, walking on cement and had no trouble. I also wear them to school a lot; the kids think I'm cool and my feet don't hurt. There isn't a lot of arch support but I was expecting that with this style. My orthotics fit in them comfortably so I wasn't concerned about it.
