LOVE these boots! It was a bit of a splurge but they are super comfy. They are a very nice shade of dark red - but more red. I would not call them an oxblood color. Great to wear with blacks or browns. Color has not rubbed off. I get plenty of compliments.

These boots are awesome. I have large calves, and always have trouble finding boots to fit, these are a tiny bit tight, but I got them zipped! I followed the advice of some of the other reviewers and got them a half size larger than I normally would wear (usually a 7.5 so I bought an 8) it was a perfect fit. I read on the shoe info that the circumference of the shaft is larger on sizes 7.5 and up, so if you're a smaller foot size and have calves larger than 17" around, these may not work for you. Sorry! I have plantar faciaitus - due to arch problems, and these boots are actually really comfortable for me. They don't leave me in excrutiating pain the next morning, even after I wear them all day. I totally recommend! And I will be purchasing them in gray too!

These boots are amazing. They fit my wide calf perfect. I wasn't sure I'd like the heel on them (maybe to granny for me) but the are cute as heck! I could wear them every day!

I was on the fence about these boots as I had never worn this brand. I bought them fully expecting to find a low quality or at least something wrong but I am thrilled with them. They are perfect in being true to size. The round toe gives ample room. The leather is so plush and soft. I am so pleased with them. I am tempted to get a second color. Great quality, great pair of boots and I am really picky!

Love these boots! They are so cute and different than anything else I've seen. The extra wide calf was perfect for my 16 inch calves. Am waiting for the olive to come back in my size so I can order them too, that's how much I love these boots!

I agree with other reviewers saying these don't really seem like "wide calf" boots. When I first tried putting them on, I thought there was no way they were going to fit. I managed to force the zipper and they have stretched out enough to be a perfect fit for my not-incredibly-large calves. Every single time I wear them, I get multiple compliments from women of all ages. I'd say if your calves are on the larger side and roughly match the dimensions they've provided for these boots, they are awesome enough to give it a try, and if they don't fit you can always send them back!

I echo the reviews of love and adoration for this boot. I am a size 6.5 and they fit like a glove. I'd say the circumference is about 15" at this size. My calves are usually too small for wide shaft boots but these are perfect for me. Absolutely no gap at the top, but still feels roomy. I'd love to see these with a more defined heel, but the wedge makes them easy for all day wear. LOVE.

I have these boots in black. They are a fantastic mix of Victorian and modern, making for an outstandingly stylish boot. I get consistent compliments on them. They are rather comfortable, look fantastic with my "I'm in a band wear" or my "I'm a professional" clothes. Fit my calves perfectly. The leather is supple and velvety. My feet appear a full size smaller than their actual size (I am a shoe size 8). Totally worth the dough.

Love these boots! I purchased them in brown and am very satisfied with the color. The price is definitely worth it! I have a hard time finding boots that fit my athletic calves and these wide calf boots fit perfectly. Like other wide calf boots I've purchased, these don't actually look wide. I am so happy with this purchase, but there is one problem. I want them in every color!

Love at first sight! I have just sent 5 wide calf boots back to Zappos because they are just not pretty in person, but these boots are gorgeous and so stylish, feminine, and cute! I wish they were not so pricey but at least I can see the quality for the money spent! I just wish they had my size in other colors - I would buy more! This does not look like the usual wide over size boot - they are tailored to fit and still go over my large calves! Impressed with this brand!

I love these boots they are super cute for petite gals with wide calves. They are true to size. I wear a 7 and order a 7 they fit perfect. Along with wide calves I have wide flat feet and these boots having a round toe, were very comfortable. My feet weren't squeeze at all. My calves are a 16in and so are the size 7 boots, I was able to put a pair of leggings on. Their pricey but well worth it. They're not the normal wide calf boots with that same old style.

My calf is 16-1/2" and I got a size 7. They are a little tight to zip up but the little elastic on the side helps too. I can wear them all day without hurting too. Yay! Cute boots for ladies with shapely legs.

I wanted these so badly. I had my heart set on them. I NEEDED this style of boot. In the most simple explanation of why they were returned, the right one wouldn't zip up my large calf all the way. It's not them. It's me and my freaky right calf. Sorry MM!

These boots are comfy for sure with a really nice soft lining. I was wanting more or a true red. In the end I wasn't a big fan of the ruching look so I have sent them back. If this boot was more a true red and an inch taller would of definitely kept them. The hunt goes on for RED wide calf boots !!

Fantastic boot, it was my go to all winter, I wore them about 90% of the time, only downside was the lack of traction in the sole. I will probably buy a back up pair or a another pair in other colors. Lots of compliments on these babies.

I have been looking at these boots for a couple of years and finally took the splurge and bought them. I normally wear an 8½W so since they did not have that I tried a 9. They were way too tight across my wide feet but the length was good and the width around the calf was good. I decided to try a size up and bought a 10 and now they fit perfectly across my feet but I have a bunch of room behind my heel and lots of extra room in the calf which surprised me. I did keep them and wore the around all day the last few days and with the nice fit across the top of my foot it actually hold them on well and my feet do not slide around. Thicker socks helped hold them in place and I wear them with skirts and leggings or can wear them with jeans tucked in since I had so much room in the calf. Normally I do not spend this much money on shoes but I finally did after wanting them and am glad that I did. I think narrow footed folks will have an easier time but really after walking around in them all day and all over town they felt totally fine. I am glad that I bought them!

I waited 2 years to buy these boots since I already have several pairs of knee high boots. I wish that I hadn't waited so long! I have another pair of really nice all weather boots but they have a wedge heel. If I wear those all day the shoe feels heavy and my foot was sore (it was the only boots I had packed when I did a short trip to Europe in winter). This Miz Mooz boot has none of those problems! It has a tiny wedge and firm but lightweight. I can walk all day in them and be comfortable. Mine are brown and they pair well with jeans and leggings for a more casual look. I do pair them with skinny pants for the office too for a more casual look. The I'm 5"2 in size 7.5. The calf fits well even with pants/jeans tucked into the boot. I would say I have medium calves, they are not skinny by any means. I have a wide foot and this shoe definitely accommodates that. The only negative is that it hasn't survived travel as well as I would have hoped. I packed them well with other fabrics around them but they still had marks from rubbing items in the suitcase. The boot is not cheap but well worth it since I feel like I could live all winter in them.

ADORE these boots! they are so cute and fun, and big enough for a wide calf (41 cm -- zips right up!). My only complaint is that the quality isn't awesome. They feel great, but are starting to peel and rub after a few months of wear. Still, worth it in my book!

I have large athletic calfs that often do not fit in boots. I purchased the Bloom in black, wide calf and love them. However, these red ones were extra wide and have to go back.

I wore these for the second half of last winter, and I hope they last through the next one! The leather is not as high quality as the price dictates, but they are ridiculously comfortable and cute. The soles are beginning to separate, but it is not outside the normal wear and tear I would expect. A note about the "wide calf:" I can wear most knee high boots with regular sized calf measurements, and most wide calf boots sag on me. These fit like regular sized calf boots, but with some potential to accommodate larger calves. If you consider your legs athletic, go for it! If you are specifically looking for a wide calf boot, beware!

I have a wide foot (toe-box) and wide-ish calf, and this boot has more than enough room for me. The leather around the ankle folds in and digs into me on one foot, in a weird way, but I think I can get rid of this problem one way or another (even if it means adding a stiffener inside the boot to prevent this fold).

I ordered these (in red) very cautiously, after the conflicting reviews about the calf width. I got them in 8.5, which is a half-size above my usual, but often my choice for boots as I need a little extra room due to my feet being slightly wide. My right calf is just about 16 inches; the boot zipped on first try but was snug. My left calf is 16.5 inches, and it took several tries to get that one to zip, though it did eventually happen. The boots did stretch with wearing and I can zip them both now, but I won't be wearing any thick socks or tucking jeans into them. Basically, if your calves are over 16 inches or you want to be able to wear anything thicker than tights with these boots, caveat emptor. All that said, these boots are gorgeous, beautiful color and finish and quite distinctive with the buttons and pleating. The width in the foot seems fine and the rubber sole is quite comfortable, although I'll need insoles for arch support. I am glad that in the end these worked out for me, but there are plenty of people who'll get excited by the "wide calf" designation and then be disappointed by the reality, and that makes me sad, because even folks with big and muscular legs deserve stylin', comfortable boots, and for too many people, these won't be it.

I received the Miz Mooz Bloom in a timely manner, I like the feel to them - very soft. The packaging was great. Overall they look awesome, but looking in detail one had a tape stuck to them. I pulled it carefully and it took off some of the pleather of the boot. It's a small dent you might say but not enough to return the boots, now I wore them for a full day, the blooms felt comfortable it was like I was wearing sneakers, very comfortable they are true to size they made my foot look smaller and the height for me was perfect I am 5'1 in height. I like that the blooms are not all the way up to my knees. The buttons are the highlight as well, the price is another thing it is high for this somewhat pleather boot but overall if you are looking for a comfortable boot I do recommend these, if its the price that is another thing I would have bought Doc's - I wanted to have Miz Mooz for 5 years already and finally I made up my mind to buy more expensive boots to my collection.

These are very cute, very good quality, but the calf is too wide for me. Almost all boots are too tight in the calf for me, but these are too big for me to wear. FYI I measure my calf circumference right at the lower end of the size guide. I guess I'm just that awkward in-between size.

Oh, these boots are lovely. I've been eyeing them for a while and when the gray went on sale I got them. I'm a size 7 and they fit wonderfully and there is a nice gap around my calves. They are nice quality and comfortable. My only annoyance is they are darker in real life than they are on the website. Like charcoal gray. Not exactly what I hoped for.
