I bought a pair of Thorlo socks from a local sporting goods store many years ago. (A good 40 years). I've been hard pressed at times to find any Thorlo socks and have tried many other brands. You can't find a better sock. Believe me, I've tried.

What great socks! I didn't realize they were meant to wear inside riding boots, but they are great for whatever. They go up to my knees and stay up ALL DAY. The material is nice and fuzzy, but changes to a tighter weave at the top to stay up better. Also, the socks do not leave lint between my toes :)

While the socks are everything that was described, I know I checked several times to be sure they were mid-calf and not over the calf, as my husband requested. When the shipment arrived (which was exceptionally fast!), I was disappointed that they are over the calf style. We should have returned on that discrepancy alone.

This is a great product, they are long enough to not slide down in my boots. I wish they were a little thinner in the foot section of the sock. They are warm, but will not be good for any other season than the dead of winner.

My search for "socks liners" showed these. I didn't realize they are also considered "boots socks". I needed to wear these under really heavy wool boot socks. These socks are so soft and very comfortable. I needed wicking and they did that also. Now that I'm home from my trip to Antarctica, I'll wear these as boot socks and know they will be perfect. Did I mention that they have a lightly padded foot bed? Highly recommend! I can't give these 5 stars for style...after all, they are just plain white socks.

I love these socks. They, really truly stay up and straight on my leg during long, vigorous riding. They are padded in exactly the right spots for working on the ground. The mesh top is nicely vented while doing the stay-up job (not pretty, but doggone it works). Wash nicely, hold their shape. Worth every penny. I have small feet, wish they made these in a smaller size.

The fit and size er ok, except that they don't come up high enough. They are too thin, and after a few washings, they do not stay up on the calf. Because they are too thin, they are not comfortable. I gave up on them and went back to Dan Post boot socks.
