these are a must have if you like to walk and/or exercise when it's cold outside. the difference between these socks and regular cotton is unbelievable.

I wore these on an 18 mile hike this summer. Very comfortable and prevented my hiking ankle-high boots from rubbing. I only had one tiny blister on my pinky toe. My feet were at a comfortable temperature the entire time.

So comfortable! No friction. Feet dry & warm all day. I love these socks & they are worth the investment. A great spring & summer wool sock. Only wish there were more color options.

I love Smartwool PhD socks -- I now own six pairs. The socks hug my feet perfectly, with no slipping, sagging or wrinkling. I often have a problem whereby one of my socks twists around my feet (no doubt caused my some strange gait or foot shape issue), and these socks always stay put. I live in southern California and despite these socks being made of a wool blend, I find them very comfortable in summer through winter.

Wore these while hiking halfdome (about 16 miles roundtrip.) They served me excellently - didn't get any blisters and they are cute too!

If you are on fence about these socks, buy them. You won't regret it. They will perform surely, feet are warmer in damp, rain in my Gore Tex shoes. Now, just plan to wear them with shoes that are already a half size larger than you normally wear as I've done. They are thicker than average socks. I love them.

I love Smart Wool socks. These were a pretty good price. Love the color. The were a little more padded than I had thought they would be. Considering they are outdoor light they are pretty thick but Smart wool makes great socks!

These are reat fitting socks with cushion at toes/balls/heels and thin extra support at the arch. They are not too tight at the ankles but they do not fall down. I love these socks and have purchased more in other colors. They did shrink a bit after the first washer/dryer cycle but they fit my size 7 feet perfectly. They were scratchy until I washed them with fabric softener.

Good, lightweight mini-crew sock. Very supportive, wicked moisture very effectively. Dried quickly and re-wearable the next day.

I bought these to wear with my hiking boots. I didn't want anything that was too high, but wanted to cover where the boot goes. These are the perfect height and are so comfortable! Initially they fit perfectly, but watch out for shrinking after they go through the dryer. The tag does say tumble dry low, but I made the mistake of drying them on medium heat. They didn't shrink too much. However, since I'm a size 9 and bought a size medium, I can feel a difference. Next time I'll buy a size large and I bet after shrinking in the dryer they'll fit me perfectly.
