I waited several months for these to come back in stock in the size and color I wanted. I learned when I first attempted to order these last season that Sam Edelman Petty runs a half size too long but also quite narrow. I’m usually a 7 1/2 M and I required the 7W. I can wear with a thin to medium weight sock. If your foot is average to slightly wide, I think the wide fit is your best bet. I’d doubt the shoe would work for someone with a truly wide foot. These shoes could greatly benefit with some extra padding. I ordered a pair of Bondo Villa ankle booties (almost identical style) from Zappos, too, and those were noticeably more comfortable than these. I may hang on to these Sam Edelman’s though because the brown leather is the perfect shade and they look really cute on!

I got the Putty color. My first pair of Sam Edelmans and the quality seems alright. For the price I thought they'd seem a little more high quality but, overall, I really like these. Super cute and very comfortable. I just took a 40 minute walk in them and they feel great. I was worried that since I'm 5'4" they would make my legs look short - not so. They stop at halfway up my ankle bones so they're the perfect height to lengthen the legs. I've worn them with skinny pants, leggings, skirts - they really look great with everything!

I just wore these boots for the first time yesterday, with skinny jeans. I love them. I usually wear between an 8-9, and ordered these in the 8.5. They fit perfectly and are very comfortable. I have a very high arch and was worried that they might not work for me, but I shopped in them all day and they were nothing but comfortable. These will definitely be a favorite in my closet for Fall, Winter, and Spring!

I just received these boots yesterday, and now I cannot wait for the weather to get cooler! I usually wear a 6½, but I ordered both a 6½ and a 7. I will be returning the 6½, because the larger size is definitely better for me. These run a bit narrow and the 7 prevent my toes from being cramped in the tapered front; they do not seem too big/long, and I also have room to put in a cushioned insole if I want some added comfort and arch support. The putty suede is gorgeous, and the shape of the boot is very slim. I will be wearing these with flared and skinny jeans, skirts, and leggings in the fall. I am so pleased with these boots!

These are beautiful boots. They run very narrow. It seems like Sam Edelman boots all do. They do hurt my pinky toe from the narrowness but I loved them to much to send back. I am really hoping they will stretch. That is the only negative to these boots. They are beautiful!

I usually wear size 6.5W. I almost couldn't get my foot into this boot. It runs extremely small. Also, I'm not sure whether it has a true stacked heel. It looks more like it's covered with some kind of material that looks like a stacked heel.

I love these shoes. They're completely comfortable and adorable with skirts and dresses. I am able to walk a couple of city miles in them with no problem. Wish I could afford them in every color. They run true to size and width.

This boot is super cute and more brown than green. I have not worn the boot yet but it feels as if it should be comfortable. I always appreciate the shoe reviews on Zappos website. I hope mine will help another shopper.

Really cute boot. Not comfortable enough for me. Loved the real hair and style, very trendy and cute saw them in a magazine on a model wearing skinny jeans really cute! They hit my bony ankle wrong and they were not flattering with my twig legs 110 5'4 mega skinny legs. I like to wear dresses and skirts. They ran true to size, just very uncomfortable on my foot and ankle bone. With Zappos service you should try these, you can always return them. Zappos is the best!

I looked around for quite awhile for a short boot, and I kept coming back to this one. The boots are well made and look really nice. I usually wear a size 7.5 or 8. In these I bought the 7.5 and they fit well with a medium sock. I can wear the boots all day and my feet don't hurt, although I wouldn't choose these if I were planning extensive walking.

These are the best shoes I have ever owned. I got them in early fall and kept them in the box for a week, until I decided I liked them. (I thought they wouldn't look good on my legs.) These have turned into my go-to shoe. I have worn them every day for the last two months. They never needed any breaking in and still look pretty new after so much wear. The heel is a little beat up and chipping, but I tend to shuffle my feet when I'm walking and I do a lot of walking since I live in NYC. I'm debating getting another pair in black, or possibly the putty suede. I love this shoe!

Great basic boot. It is perfect for when you do not want to look to dressed up but still look stylish. The taupe color is perfect for letting you wear them with grey as well as browns and tans...and of course jeans.

Love these boots! They were a little narrow at first but I used a shoe stretcher for the widest part of my foot and was comfortable even after a long day at work on the first wear. The heel height is just right, and it looks great with tights, skinny jeans or pants. I think I might get them in putty as well (I bought the black).

These are beautiful! I ordered my size 8 and they are too tight even without socks, so I am returning them but ordering the 8 1/2. Love the moss green which is more like a dark taupe and is rich looking.

I had admired these in a local department store but they were always out of my size. Have a similar, slightly shorter pair of Nickels in brown suede but don't think that style is made any more. This shoe is very good looking and looks especially great with jeans. However, I have medium width feet and it felt a bit tight, though this may improve with stretching via wearing.

Just got these today - they are lovely boots, beautifully crafted but not really my style. I found the toe a bit pointy for my taste. Plus if your feet are wider at the toes the boot feels too narrow there but slips at the heel. I got the lighter color (putty?) and it is lighter in person than in the picture. I do like the low heel - hard to find a boot with that. I decided to send them back though.

I’ve had these shoes for two months and have worn them maybe 10 times and the heel completely broke. All I do is wear them to work, and I’m not climbing any mountains to get there. Don’t waste your money on these. For $100, I expected them to be quality.

I am absolutely thrilled with these shoes. The moment I put them on they were so comfortable, and when I wore them for a full day of work followed by a night out, they were just as comfy. Not to mention they look fabulous. At first I did find them a little loose at the heel as other reviewers had mentioned, but with the right socks that wasn't an issue. Before I received them I was also a little weary of spending so much, but they are very much worth it and I would buy them again and again.

I love these boots and have been longing for them all winter. Sam Edelman products are top notch and, of course, I am so happy to have them in my possession, in other words I love them. The fit is perfect and since I am a young old person I like the low heels.

Bought these for my daughter-in-law. She loves them and they look great. As in other reviews, they are a bit loose at the heel. Otherwise, they're lovely and she's thrilled. I also noticed how difficult it is to find fashionable and reasonably low heels; heel height seems to be stratospheric these days.

These are my first pair of Sam Edelman's and I have to say that the quality is very good. The shoe fits true to size but a little tight in the width. I figure since they are suede they will stretch a bit. The style was what I was looking for along with a comfortable heel.

This is a very nice flat, comfy bootie. It's well made and looks good with skirts or pants. There's not a lot of padding in the shoe, but because of the low heel, it's still very comfy.

I bought these in black, and really like the way they look. They run true to size lengthwise, but are a bit narrow. After the first day wearing them, however, they stretched out just enough.

I forgot to say that I got them a half size larger than usual so I can wear them with thick socks, which was the right move. I think they are true to size, though. They feel like a 7 instead of my usual 6.5. I do think these may be a bit narrow in the middle of the shoe, but not extremely narrow.
