Sometimes when I put this shirt on I feel superior to everyone else.

The compression garment definitely works. A little on the expensive side; however, it does the job. You may buy the compression shirt even if you have a large gut, and you will not suffocate yourself contrary to the misinformed customer review. If you want a slimmer look I highly recommend this product. Please look at the size chart prior to purchasing it as the shirt will appear small; however, it is designed for your chest size so don't fret. It is not the easiest thing to get off...just remember what it is designed to do.

My husband loves these, he wears them under his shirts and sweaters to lean out his midsection. Helps him suck it in! He is already lean this just gives extra support. If you have a large gut I wouldn't recommend it you might suffocate yourself.

Does not work for your gut, may be it is helpful for older person with a wobbly body, but it does not work for a younger man (in his 30's).

I am 5'11", 175 lbs with a 33" waist and average build. I bought this shirt to help keep the appearance of a flat stomach, and bought a size M (my usual shirt size). It is so difficult for me to get on/off that I feel like Harry Houdini escaping from a straight jacket. When I wear it, it is constricting and uncomfortable. I'm not sure if I simply bought the wrong size, or if this is how the shirt is supposed to feel. Regardless, the discomfort far outweighs whatever other benefits to my appearance it provides. For what it's worth, it is a high quality garment and it does look nice.
