My four year old son wears Converse with velcro practically year round. He has finally reached the size where velcro is no longer offered, so I thought these slip-ons would be the perfect solution (and postpone the inevitable stage of actually teaching my kids to tie his own shoes). While this shoe was the correct size, I couldn't even get the shoe on my toddler's foot, because the elastic in the back was so snug. My child has wide feet, which is why he always wears Converse. The opening is so narrow, it was impossible to slip on. I even tried it with multiple pairs of socks of different degrees of thickness. I understand the need for a snug fit so the shoe doesn't slip off, but this seemed ridiculous. I'm quite disappointed in Converse. These will be returned.

I absolutely love the idea and look of these converse- the high-top style too, and the fact they're slip on, but I've tried for all three of my kids and they are extremely hard to get on because of the hidden elastic strap under the tongue. I have had to return because they aren't practical or fun because of the difficulty to put on.

The shoes look used. There was a huge scuff mark on the toe. So disappointing!

I have bought these same shoes for my 9 yr old son before. Great shoes easy to put on. But the ones I ordered from zappos became yellow. Stains on white part are hard to clean. color fade away with in a week. Now they look like very old shoes.
