My kid loved them. I think they run about 1 size too big. I ordered them in sizes Youth 6-4.5 so my kid can try them all on and she ended up having to go with the 4.5. She's usually a Youth 5.5, so they ran large.

These have elastic on the tongue they do not need to be tied and they slip on easily. They are much more substantial than the regular Chuck Taylor shoes. They are great quality!

These shoes aren't meant to be tied. The tongue is connected to the shoe with thick black elastic so the shoe can slip on. Additionally, the tongue is very padded (unlike the basic Chuck Taylor model). I think this gives the shoe a more street or skater look. Great update of a classic! p.s. The shoes are canvas (not suede or leather like the description says).

Finally, some Chucks that are comfortable! They still retain the look of the original Chucks, but they have some padding and an actual arch support. I had to buy half a size larger than I do in the old school Chucks, but overall I love them.

My son is very hard on shoes and these are holding up very well. Nice construction, no loose threads, very sturdy.

My daughter wanted these for school and they were received as expected. My daughter has feet on the narrow side so they seem bigger on her feet. I believe if your child has normal width feet they would be perfect. If your child is active or a tomboy, these are not for you.

I love my Converse. It was a little tricky getting the right size. Converse run a little long. But, it was worth a little wait. I wear them all the time.

We bought these shoes for our 7 year old son who is taking hip hop dancing. He said they are really comfortable. He loves the look of them and we get a kick out of seeing him in them doing some fancy footwork.

Love them! Purchased for my 10 year old daughter. After we figured out the right size to order (Converse run differently) with help from the size chart Zappos provides, our order arrived quickly. My daughter loves them!

Why does Converse take the cheap route when including laces with their shoes. Our grand daughter was so excited to receive her new shoes but the laces inserted by Converse were too short to tie the shoe. Converse, if you are going to sell a product, put the right size laces in the shoe, laces should not be a major cost item in production. Very dissatisfied with the product. Will not be ordering Converse in the future.

These are much more cushy than regular Converse- the sole and tongue are both padded- really nice and comfortable. I wear a women's size 6 shoe, and wear a 3.5 big kid in these, when I'd usually wear a 4 or 4.5, so these run large. They slip on and aren't meant to be tied, although may need adjustment of the laces to keep them from slipping too much at the heel- they tore up my right heel the first time I wore them and I had to tighten up the laces on mine. I bought the grey and the black mono; I only wish there were more colors available!

Zappos is the best. My 11 year old told me about the website and placing an order was very easy. I would order from them again.

My four year old is stoked. These are adorable, seem to be durable, and best of all he can get them on and off by himself! I was skeptical at first, as they seemed pretty narrow and we worked hard to get them on the first couple of times, but now they are easing up. Converse run a full size larger than most other brands. Flat soled shoes like these Chuck Taylors are much better for a child's developing foot (as well as adults) as they do not interfere with the foot's natural rest and movement.

I bought my 7 years old brother these for his birthday an he loved them. Another website the shipping would have been ridiculously expensive. Today I bought my little brother more shoes from Zappos, and I'll continue to buy them from there here on.

Order this in dress blue and love the color. The cushioned foot bed is nice and the arch support felt good, but the puffy part around the ankle irritated my ankle in just seconds of taking a few steps with the shoe on. So I had to return it for the classic style too bad because this has a cushioned foot bed.

Ordered all black shoes for school. The description said leather uppers, but they're canvas. Sadly, they have to be returned because school requires leather shoes.

Fits as expected.

Fit was consistent with converse sizing. Heel rubbed a bit while my 8yr old was breaking them in, but they’re perfect now. Easy on and they stay on. He said he can pull the laces and they tighten. Really cool shoes.

My son likes them. He’s used to wearing converse & they always wear in easily. These seem to have more cushion than typical converse, like the tongue is puffy which isn’t how they usually are. It’s a good shoe.

Excellent shoe but definitely runs a size large, I had to return them and order the next lower size.

My son loves the shoes, he is nine, and I love the color! I wish they made the charcoal in regular (not slip-on) for his size 3½ and up but it does not appear that they do. So we bought regular shoe strings and they lace up and tie just fine now. Aside from having to buy shoe strings we love the shoe and color.

These are very comfortable and well built. However the back heel is too high for me. I just added an insole, and that fixed my problem. The arch support and stretch tongue is great!

I bought these for my 5 year old nephew. He loves them and says they're really comfortable. He usually wears a size 11, but in these he wore a 10.5.

The 5.5 kids seems to be the same as 5.5 men’s/6.5 women’s. They fit just like other converse. Not sure if I like that the rubber is shiny. But they are comfortable.
