The Zappos video sold me on this shoe as far as looks go. I was afraid a sandal meant for rugged outdoor use would be ugly and clunky, especially in the Dark Earth color, but this looks great on me (and I'm a size 11 with a big foot). You wouldn't wear them to high tea, but they certainly look feminine enough to work with a casual skirt. The uppers are brushed leather sewn to a man-made liner that's wonderfully stretchy. The whole shoe sort of massages your foot as you walk. Great overall flexibility from heel to toe. With a few minor exceptions, which I'll discuss in a moment, the Neota felt comfortable right out of the box. The weather's not quite warm enough yet here in beautiful upstate New York to test them walking around outdoors, but I've been wearing them around the house and I imagine they'll be comfortable all-day walking sandals. They seem pretty rugged, though I see one reviewer experienced breakage after two months' wear. The Teva website states that there's a one-year warranty on their shoes, so she should contact them for a replacement, or get in touch with Zappos' outstanding Customer Loyalty Team for help. I can personally attest to the fact that Zappos will stand behind anything they sell, to a degree I doubt you'll find in any other retailer on Earth. Now, to the negative points. The ankle strap digs in a tad on the front, if I cinch it enough to keep it from slipping, but as far as I can tell just from wearing them around the house, it's nothing that would raise a blister. After wearing them a while, I don't even notice it, though when I take them off there is a bit of an indentation on my foot. Front and back of the ankle strap are adjustable, as is the toe strap, so you can get a pretty good custom fit. The instep is raised and uncomfortable on first wearing. I almost thought I'd have to send them back but oddly, after wearing them a couple of times it didn't bother me at all. The rise gives excellent arch support which is hard to come by in a sandal. The footbed is well-cushioned and a bit bouncy, throws you a little off balance for a few seconds at first until you get used to it. It gives you a nice bit of lift with every step. Overall, I give it five big ones on style but I do withhold one star on comfort just because of the front strap rubbing. Minor, but it's there and if you're thinking of buying you should be aware of it.

I wore these sandals on a two-week tour of Europe. They were my exclusive shoes for walking, and I put many miles on them. They never chafed or rubbed my foot in any way. They are also very lightweight and pack fairly flat in a suitcase. These are great travel sandals. They are very adjustable thanks to the Velcro straps over the forefoot, ankle and heel. It took a bit of tweaking to get a perfect fit. I have short, wide feet, and usually I have to wear a 7½ shoe, but the Neota was so wide that I was able to wear a 6½. If you have very narrow feet, these sandals may not fit you as well.

These shoes have been a favorite of mine for years. I hiked 19 miles round trip in Navajo National Monument to see the Anasazi ruins in my last pair and when my hiking boots tore a sole backpacking in Yosemite, I finished the trip in them. Finally retiring the old pair, I got these...somewhat lighter and a trifle more fashionable looking. The last pair were simple and rugged. The odd thing with Teva for me is that despite my love of their comfort and ruggedness, they smell to high heaven...foot odor. I have to put them in zip lock bags in my luggage, tried all kinds of things but this is a problem I do not have with other sandals. I have multiple pairs of Naots and not a single issue. It has something to do with the material they use in the foot bed of these shoes. Clearly I love them anyway for hiking etc. but I sure wish they'd get some of the antimicrobial whatever material in there.

This is my first time trying a sandal from Teva, but it won't be my last! I had ordered and returned about 8 pairs of shoes (thanks for your patience, Zappos) before I tried the Neota. All the reviews sounded promising and they weren't wrong. This is a really comfortable shoe. I have a whole variety of foot problems - bunions, narrow ankles etc., and this sandal works really well. The three adjustable straps help you customize your fit and the neoprene lining makes them soothing against your feet. Of course the cushioned bottom helps keep you on your feet all day. Great shoe!

This shoe is so comfortable. I have very wide feet and it still fits because it is adjustable.

Love this sandal! I have a narrow foot and with the 3 adjustable straps I can actually make them fit. They are very comfortable and are just great.

While the footbed of this sandal is extremely comfortable, the straps and the stitching have been digging into my skin, so the sandals are not comfortable overall. I applied moleskin hoping it would help, but it only helped a bit. I'm keeping the sandals because I've worn them outside, but just keep in mind that if you have thin skin on your feet, these sandals may not be for you. The most irritating strap is the one across the ankle. It is fairly bulky where it bends for attachment with the velcro. That bulkiness is what is digging into my skin. I'm happy for the others who posted that the sandals worked out well for them. I was really wishing it would work out the same for me. I do like that you can adjust the sandals with the various straps. I have friends who have worn Teva's for years and they continue to rave about them.

I needed a pair of "water" sandals for an upcoming trip to Panama. I previously purchase a pair of Keens to wear but decided I wanted an "all around" dressier sandal to take. I order the Teva Neota in the color beluga and was very happy with my purchase. They are very comfortable, good arch support (which I need) and will look dressy enough to wear with black slacks. They are more comfortable than my Keen and Ecco sandals. I was worried from that the arch support would not be enough since I always use Orthaheel inserts in my shoes. The foot bed is very soft and cushiony. I can wear them all day and my feet, knees and back do not hurt. The lining inside of the leather strapping is very comfortable with no rubbing or chafing. This sandal is wonderful for my particular foot issues - a wide forefoot (bunion), high instep and overpronation. My only problem will be not wearing them out before my trip. They are definitely my favorite sandal now!

Just loved putting these shoes on my feet! Took them out of the box and thought, well these are going back. Wrong...very comfortable, and no breaking in. My feet are swollen and wide, and surprisingly they even work on my feet!

Several friends have Teva's and they keep telling me how comfortable they are. So I bought this pair hoping for the same experience. This shoe did not disappoint. They feel like a soft glove for the feet. The shock absorber in the heel is also helpful. I have much more expensive shoes that are not nearly as comfortable as these. For years I have worn Naots and I can truthfully say these are a bit more comfy.

I recommend this sandal. It is very comfortable and nice looking. I have bunions and Morton's neuroma (painful nerve swelling in the foot). It is worth the extra money to be in comfort.

Very comfortable shoes, can wear them everywhere for hours. I had the first generation (I guess "Pretty Rugged Leather") years ago which was the best I ever had and gave them away thinking I would be able to replace them. Was very disappointed to find out I couldn't and got these instead. So far they are a pretty close in comfort; however, the thinner strap around the ankle puts a little pressure on the area but it is soft material and doesn't break the skin. The material is not the quality as the first generation so I am not sure yet how long they will last. Overall I am happy I got them and would miss not having these shoes since I know I will always be comfortable in them.

I purchased these as a gift to my wife, but the front straps would not widen for her bunions. These were too beautiful to send back so I gave them to a family friend. She raved about these sandals. The comfortable fit were good for her back and legs.

These are fantastic walking and hiking sandals! I just got back from a trip to Oregon and wore these shoes for all my outdoor activities. I was able to have secure and comfortable footwear for my walking and hiking, yet cool feet because they were sandals. I would highly recommend these sandals which are well worth the money.

Very comfortable. I have problems with my foot and after having bunion surgery in May I needed a pair of sandals that would support my arch and also accomodate the swelling. These sandals did both. I also purchased a pair of Teva's in black that are very similar and am very happy with those as well.

At first, I thought I was having problems with this sandal because it chafed along some of the stitching; I have very thin skin on my feet, so I feel everything. I put some moleskin on the worst parts and thought it only helped a bit. But since then, I've been wearing these sandals and they are now fantastic. The footbed really cushions the soles of my feet like no other sandals/shoes I've had on. And there is no more chafing whatsoever. I would definitely recommend the Teva Neota sandals. I'm so glad I stuck with them.

I have a difficult time finding shoes that truly fit. These 10.5 sandals with 3 adjustable straps and real arch support in the right spot fit me perfectly. This style feels so soft and unbelievably comfortable. I am purchasing another pair now.

Bought these for a trip to Italy, and they were completely comfortable from the minute I put them on--no rubs, no blisters. I walked for hours in these, including miles of cobblestones. May run big--I ended up with a full size smaller than I usually wear. Great shoe!

I usually wear Merrells, but wanted more support after a slight ankle sprain. The Teva Neota sandal is so incredibly comfortable, not only when you first put them on, but all day long. I have never ever had a more comfortable shoe. I bought a pair for my mother. They are worth every penny.

I needed a comfortable pair of all purpose sandals for walking around in for a full day. These are soft to the touch with a great fit. There is a soft material under the straps which acts as padding, so there is no discomfort.

This is the most comfortable sandal I've ever owned! They felt more comfortable than good slippers from the first time I put them on. The three adjustment straps allow me to get a perfect fit on each foot. I can also adjust for my high arches. The toe bed is wide and shaped like a foot is supposed to be. My little toes do not get caught between the straps. The footbed has a great cushion to it, so walking is very comfortable. I can wear these with jeans, shorts, and even casual pants. I'm going to buy another pair as soon as I can. When you find a perfect fit, buy more than one!

The most comfortable sandal I have worn. Has a very soft step, great arch support, and the three adjustable straps create a custom fit. Runs a little small so if you are between sizes, order the larger.

I seldom post but have been grateful to those who do. Finding comfortable shoes has been an ongoing challenge for me. I wear 12 and have various foot problems (bunions, neuroma). These sandals have been wonderful so far. Comfy and nice-looking, too. The arch support is just right for my flat feet.
