Whoa. Very nice :-). My first Tevas in many years. My old thick black sole and brown leather straps are OK, but these have improved so much! They are much lighter and softer. The buckle is great so u don't need to keep adjusting the strap to find the right comfort level. I have really wide feet and Tevas only come in mediums, but it doesn't matter because the straps adjust to however wide you need. Great shoe.

Hubby had an impossible time finding comfortable sandals. He has type-2 diabetes so he has to be really careful with the fit and no rubbing, etc. And, by the way, he doesn't shop! Well, I found sandals for him at Zappos and had him select the specific style he liked. He is very happy with the fit and I'm thrilled to protect his health. These are perfect!

Perfect sandal. I ordered Ecco Yucatans, which I really wanted to like more than the others, but they just did not fit as well. I wear a 12 dress shoe and 13 sneaker. The 13 Tevas fit perfectly. I also had a pair of Teva Terradactyls for 5+ years. These blows them out of the water. The arch support is perfect where the terradactyls were just OK. The cushion unde rthe heel is phenomenal. And, it has a drain. The buckle release sealed the deal, every sandal should have this. Some of the Ecco's weird footbed, they call it Anatomical Wave seemed just wrong. It feels like you are walking on really hard packed wet sand with sharp ridges not gentle waves. Odd, but they must feel good to someone. Anyhow, these are the perfect sandal for a summer vacation in Italy. Very supportive and giving at the same time.

I love these sandals. I've been wearing Teva sandals for about six years as my only summer footwear and these fix every complaint I've had in the past.
The plastic buckle makes them way easier to get on and off than other styles. They even did a nice job putting some of the strap behind the buckle so it doesn't dig into your foot.
The strap material is more durable and won't fray as quickly as the older styles.
The foot bed is both more durable and lighter (how did they pull that off?) while still having some cushion making them comfortable for hours of walking around.

These sandals are great! They are the best sandals I have ever owned. After readjusting the heel strap (which was very uncomfortable out of the box), they fit great and I could wear them comfortably for long periods of time.

I first tried the Teva Tanza. They were good in many ways but had very exaggerated high arches. These Toachi sandals are perfect. They have great fit, very good (but not extreme) arch support, and I love the excellent lateral stability. I recently walked up and down some very steep hills in Ithaca, NY, and they held my foot well, without the sloppy sliding around that most sandals (including the more traditional Tevas) give. These are marketed as "water sandals" but are great all-around sandals. The quick-release buckles are also a fabulous innovation. Once you get the velcro straps set to the right positions, you never again have to adjust them -- just undo the buckles and slide out. These are the best sandals I have ever owned.

This will be my fourth pair of Tevas, and the first I've bought in 3 years. To say that theses are by far the best pair I've ever owned is an understatement! They are light, very comfortable, and the front clasp mechanism for taking them on and off is genius! I was hesitant to spent the money on them and now feel like I got a bargain. I wear these everywhere, be it commuting on my bike, hiking around, or just around the house doing yard work. Buy these sandals immediately!

Great sandal. I was not sure if it would be what I wanted when I first ordered it but it turned out to be everything that I wanted. Easy to do up, comfortable to wear, stylish, good for the water, and, did I mention comfortable? I bought three sandals, kept this one. Great sandal.

This design is long overdue! One hand on-off closure versus debris trapping Velcro. Superior design needs a little break-in time with narrower cloth straps. It can wear a bit rough when at first worn all day.

I have an old pair of the suede Tevas that I love, but they needed to be replaced. After some shopping I chose these. Boy was that a mistake. The shoes are very uncomfortable--the strap over the front of the foot hurt and left a blister after a short period of normal walking around the grocery store. The buckles that everyone raved about are on the wrong side of the shoe making them hard to use. I would not recommend these to anyone.

The comfort and style were just as I had expected. I have worn Teva before and went out of my way to find these sandals. The new quick release is very convenient. I adjusted to size once and do not have to change it each time I open and close the Velcro strap. I am very happy with the selection, price and service from Zappos.

Really great shoes! Put them on and can't hardly bear to take them off. Great length and they can be adjusted to the contours of one's foot perfectly. Order a pair today, this color is wonderfully neutral!

We love the brand - but my husband has a very WIDE foot and because the straps are so adjustable on most of these sandals he has no issues wear them, but sadly the top strap at the ankle is much shorter (by 2 inches) than the other models he has ordered in the past.
So WIDE feet - be wary - they may not fasten for you.

I have had these sandals for two months and can say that Teva is nearly back to where they were a few years ago in terms of being able to make a quality sandal. These are great! The support is there, and I have worn them for six mile walks and have been just fine. They look really sharp. They are not narrow, but if you have thick feet, then these may not be for you. Just one slight dissatisfaction: the spider rubber is hardly different from any other kind of rubber. So it is possible to slip if you are hiking where it is still wet after a storm, and I have. It would be nice if the spider outsole was like it was in 2004. Still, I think only Ecco makes a better outsole. In any case, the Toachi 2 is still a very good sandal for the money.

Overall a nice sandal but I have to agree that they do run a bit narrow. I normally wear a D width and my foot is a bit wider than the sole. Will probably keep them though since I like everything else. Also, I was a bit hesitant about what appeared as red trim on the shoe but it is actually a much better brown / rust color that goes well with the gray.

I had to return them because they were too narrow and I have a skinny foot! They look and feel great and I'm disappointed they're not available in a wider size! I have the Terra Fi 3's and they are about 1/2 inch wider and fit great, but they are worn and I was ready for the Toachis.

This is my third pair of these sandals, and these are still in the box in a closet, as I dread the day when these are discontinued. They are far and away the most comfortable Teva sandals I’ve ever owned. A high, supportive arch combined with an ultra-cushioned heel and metatarsal area make this a sandal I can (and have) worn for 15 miles a day.
Longevity is an issue; the glue they’re made with is the worst, but I’ve twice made repairs with Loctite Gel Super Glue, and they just keep trucking after that. The straps and soles all hold up well; I just tuck a bottle of the glue in my bag when I travel overseas, as I do 4 to 5 months a year. These sandals are great for travel, and work as well in the ocean as they do on big city street. I do make a point to rinse them well after exposure to salt water. If they get stinky, I scrub them with any kind of dish or laundry soap and let them dry and they’re good to go.

Let me preface this review by saying I have wide feet, and have always had difficulty buying shoes that fit comfortably. Even though the width for this sandal is medium/D, based on reviews which said that the reviewer has "wide feet, but the straps are adjustable...and the sandal fit perfectly..."(or words to that effect), I decided to give them a try. When I adjusted the straps, the sandal was indeed exceedingly comfortable, and I thought...I have a winner. Then I realized that the straps were gripping the velcro for about half an inch...at the arch and toe, and regretfully decided that this was not a good situation for me. For someone with narrower feet than mine, this sandal would be great!

I've been wearing these sandals for a couple months now and they've been great. The sandals fit perfectly (I wear a wide (EE) size in shoes but these sandals fit perfectly in width and length). The sandals are also super comfortable and I have been able to wear them for 90 minute walks across uneven paths with no soreness or discomfort during or after. I also love the fastener system so I don't need to resize the velcro every time I wear them.
These aren't the coolest looking sandals but given their functionality and comfort, I highly recommend them!
