The bag is really nice. I love the design I chose. There is a pocket inside that is roomy. The bag is a little small but is perfect if you have a few things.

I needed a new work bag, something that would fit all of my little daily necessities and still fit easily inside a drawer. This bag is perfect and such an affordable price! It easily fits my phone, wallet, keys, sunglasses, a pack of gum, a compact, and a lop balm, and still lays flat in my desk drawer. Also, it's really cute.

LOOOOOVEEEE this purse. 1. It's smart. Made 100% from recycled plastic bottles. 2. Great size. Perfect for travel and light daily use. HOWEVER... Would have liked to have the 100% recycled bottle sticker with a little less glue. I think it is a good idea but don't want to be your billboard.

Fun little bag if you carry minimal items! Worked great in Vegas! Great for travel or for a tween/teen size bag! 4 stars as it was a little small for regular use for me. Fun selection of colors too!

Super cute purse. It is a little small, at least for me, but it's perfect for a time when you don't want to carry a lot. The strap lays in an awkward spot on my shoulder so I didn't find it that comfortable.

This is a cute and functional bag. It has plenty of room for my phone, wallet and GoPro camera.

Great for a three-season bag, nice and slim but holds quite a surprising amount of stuff without getting uncomfortable. I love that the top zips closed, and the front and interior pockets are nice and roomy. The strap is a little stiff, though, and can be very mildly irritating on bare skin, like with a v-neck or tank top; with this small exception, this, and the duplicate I purchased in a different color, are my favorite bags.

Very cute and small size is what I was looking for, however the strap is VERY short for a crossbody bag. I still love it and use it, but REALLY wish the strap had about another 6 inches of give. Shipping super fast, will definitely buy here again!

My two are not actually 8 inches wide, but closer to 7.5. However, they are well made and amazing price. If they were slightly wider and perhaps a little thicker, even if they cost $5 more, they would be better. I am keeping them both, and will continue to look to Dakine for affordable quality.

For times when I wear clothes without pockets (like when I'm walking the dogs) and for local, short-term running around, I needed a bag of very particular size: as small a profile as possible, but still roomy enough to accommodate my phone, keys/card carrier combo, and the rather bulky case for my prescription sunglasses. I also wanted a messenger-style bag for best hands-free carrying. The Dakine Jive fits the bill. The size is perfect for my needs, and the profile remains slim even when it's full. The subtle patterning and bright blue interior give the black bag a welcome touch of style, too. I have only three complaints, all concerning the strap. First, the drop length is just barely long enough for me to carry it as a messenger bag (I'm 5'5", if that matters); I would really prefer a few more inches. Second, the nylon used is quick slick, so it tends to slip off my shoulder if I try to use it as a shoulder bag. Finally, the edges of the strap are fairly stiff, so they can be uncomfortable on my neck when carrying this messenger style. None of these issues are problematic enough to keep me from really liking this bag, especially considering the price!

I was looking for a sporty alternative to a purse, for when I'm out running errands in casual/workout clothes. This Dakine bag is the perfect pairing! My one complaint is that the strap is very wide, which makes it fall off the shoulder easily. I usually wear it as a cross-body, but I'm still very aware of the strap. It does the job though, and at a great price point!

I've been using this bag daily for the past week and have really appreciated the utility of the zippered pockets and thick yet lightweight strap. The material is very durable - made from recycled plastic bottles. Feels like coated canvas. The design stands out but isn't garish. Very functional casual bag, I imagine it would be good for travel, hiking, running errands. Only complaint is that it tends to bounce on my hip as the material is quite stiff. Cheap, durable, & adequately attractive = overall a good buy.

Do I love it? Not really. Do I like it? Yes. It's a great, little bag for the price. The pros mostly outweigh the cons and both are very well described in these reviews. The pros: small but holds essentials, stylish, name brand bag. Deep, main pocket good for stuff. Inside side pocket fits i-phone 5s in Otter Box Commuter Wallet & a chunky key fob. No fumbling around for either. Great strap length (worn cross body left to right) for average (5'4") height keeping all items readily accessible. The cons: strap is too wide and utilitarian for such a lightweight, attractive bag & it's scratchy on the neck. Overall it's a good sized bag for holding a few things (besides phone and fob) like my credit card organizer and a small money clip but not much else if you want to be able to retrieve items easily. It is big enough for me and I like all but the strap which may be the deal breaker. I've used it several times and it's rough. Too bad because otherwise I love what it looks like. I'll definitely keep it. Can't beat the price and functionality. But the search for the perfect bag is still on. Might try the Baggalini plaza mini I had also considered. Way more expensive than the Jive though.

Quality construction & great size for me (5'4") plus it fits more items than I thought it would in the main compartment! I returned it though because the canvas fabric was a bit too casual for what I was looking for.

I really like this- it fits my big fat wallet and my phone which is all I wanted. I am 6 ft tall and the strap is at it's full length on me- it's fine but would have liked it to be a little bit longer or have some leeway to adjust.

Love this bag. It (fairly comfortably) fits a Big Skinny wallet, Big Skinny Card holder, small notepad, my phone, sometimes a snack, keys, you'd be surprised. Would be nice if it was an inch taller but for just a grab and go it's great. If you're plus size you won't be able to wear it as a messenger pouch as the strap is too short. I just carry it in my arms most of the time or adjust the strap to be a handle. Would I purchase more? Absolutely. It's perfect to keep everything together and with so many fabrics and the reasonable price I can buy another on a whim.

This is a nice little bag for carrying the basics. It has a long cross body strap, but it can get twisted easily. Overall I like it.

I like the quality of the bag. It feels like it will last a long time. I am not impressed with the way the strap is attached. the strap is twisted and does not lay flat against you. Just a little annoying.

I love the bag although I do wish the strap was longer. It's the perfect hands free bag for the Brimfield fair, going to the yard sales, etc.

I love the Dakine brand. The durability can't be beat. I own several things in this brand. However, if you plan on wearing this as a crossbody be warned the strap is much shorter than I excepted. It comes up pretty high as a crossbody, and is a little awkward. However, it's great for my wallet, phone, a pen, and some hand sanitizer. An outer zipped pocket and inner zipped pocket are great for loose change or cash, they are very roomy!

Cute bag! I love the pattern, has a few small pockets good for organizing. The bag was a little smaller than I expected, but good for keeping the necessities and keeping things light. The strap is similar to seatbelt material.. definitely a casual bag, not to be used for anything fancy.

I needed a crossbody bag that was small, light, and affordable. This bag met my expectations perfectly. I do wish, however, that the strap was longer considering that I'm 5'11.
