The sole at the front started to separate almost immediately. Only 4 months old, and in for repair the second time, despite gentle wear. Shoddy construction.

Very comfortable and stable to stand in for long periods. Not so great for walking though. Kinda clunky. The sole is too flat and tends to slap on the sidewalk rather than roll.

World Tour Elite- Encounter- These shoes were ok, but a bit boxy and clunky. The big thing was that the leather started to separate from the sole just below the stitching on the inside of each shoe. I ended up returning them after only 6 weeks wear.

There is some sort of small torture device right at the ball of each foot on the insole. Not sure what or why it’s there- like a thumb pushing on the bottom of your foot . Terrible. Ugly shoe on top of that. And on top of that, cheap pleather that doesn’t breath. Returned.

The latest pair I bought of these is the fourth pair I have owned. There has been a drastic change in fit, decrease in quality of the material, and decrease in how well they are put together. The material they are made from has gone from a decent leather, to a hard, plastic looking leather. The fit is much tighter across the top of the shoe along the bottom of the laces. The material the soles are made of has gone to a harder, shinier plastic. I am very disappointed in the changes and will not purchase again.

Too Large.

We purchased TWO pairs of these shoes at the same time (for my husband and son for a trip to Europe). After 20-25 days of wearing in Paris(city walking), the sole is coming apart/delaminating at the toes in BOTH sets of shoes. Obviously a product flaw and not a fluke or wearer issue. Do NOT recommend these! Shoes are too expensive to last 3-4 WEEKS! For the money we spent, I guess I should have just taken a cab.

Very disappointed in these shoes. They have been lightly worn 1 or 2 days a week for 5 months. Already, the sole has separated from one of the shoes at the toe and it is unwearable. Not the quality that I've come to expect from Rockport.

I'm a chiropractor and find that this shoe alters my gait when walking. It does not allow a smooth transition from heel to toe. I head and feel my toe slapping to the ground while walking. This is not comfortable and it is not biomechanically safe. Also, I found the metatarsal arch support to be too aggressive and uncomfortable.

The leather on these shoes is so hard that they wore the skin on my toe knuckles after only one week of wear. My feet are killing me and I cannot wear these. Also the comfort is very stiff. Your feet should not have to conform to the shoe. My last two pairs of Rockports were The World Tour Classic and had no problems. I thought I'd take a step up, but bad choice.

Squeaks - After two days of wearing the shoes they are squeaking.

Good Every Day Shoe - The Rockport is always a comfortable shoe and with Zappos you can always find the narrow sizes.

I purchased two pairs of this shoe to replace similar Rockport models I have worn for years. I have had major problems wearing this shoe and have given up on them. I have a problem with the fit in that it applies pressure to the top of my foot and causes extreme pain. I purchased two pairs of this model shoe on my order and have the same problem with both pairs. I do have a very high arch, but have been able to wear other Rockport models without problems.
