Bought two pair of these for my 3 and 5 yr olds to start the school year. Not their only school shoes mind you (they rotate 3 pairs each) and they don't wear these outside to play while home. Two weeks ago, my 3 yr olds velcro strap ripped apart (the suede from the velcro). Shoe is worthless now. My kids liked them, they seemed to be otherwise durable so I ordered another pair for him. Today my 5 yr olds pair did the same thing. So at 5 months of occasional use, both shoes have had to be replaced because of the velcro straps. Is 5 months asking too much??? Buyer beware.

My son wears a size 9.5 in Puma and that sizing correlated with these shoes. My 3 year old is stoked about these shoes!

I would recommend these shoes to anyone. They are so comfy and cute on my 19 month old, that I might have to get a pair for my tomboy daughter!! Easy on and off. Wider fit for younger tykes with Flintstone feet. Size seems right on. Love me some Vans!

Love Zappos.com. Just a pleasure to deal with, every time. The sneakers are great. What more can you say, Vans Old School. Classic stuff for the kiddo. The only potential concern would be that they're not all that flexible, so if your child is learning to walk, may not be the best option. Very durable.

Awesome shoes. My son loves them and he is only 3 and can put them on by himself. Very sturdy sole. Runs true to size.

Cool shoes. Look good with anything from sweatpants to jeans to nice khakis. Easy shoes to get on and off of toddlers who are squirmy. Run large had to exchange 7s for 6.5 when my boys are in 7s in other brands. These shoes last awhile. Good quality.

These shoes are very cute and well made. I don't know what I was expecting, but they are more durable than I was originally thinking they would be. My son is only two, so I never really know how comfortable his shoes are but he doesn't complain about them, and he likes wearing his Vans.

I love these shoes and am sadly disappointed. I read the reviews stating that they worked for their "wider foot" children, and this was not the case. I think they could work if the straps were longer.

I am bummed. I love the shoes, my 3 year old son loves the shoes. But he’s worn them maybe 3 times and the stitching on the strap has come undone. Not happy.

My son has chunky wide feet so it’s difficult to find shoes for him, luckily these shoes fit great and were easy to put on.

I love these shoes, they are the second pair for my 2 1/2 year old. Easy on and off and look really nice on. They run large.

I think my son has the fattest feet on this earth. He's constantly complaining about his shoes not fitting. I chose these shoes because I had heard they were good for toddlers with fat feet. His are not just wide--the girth of his feet are ridiculous. Everything I read about Vans and toddlers with fat feet are true. These went on his feet without one single complaint. I felt like the clouds had parted and the angels were singing. Seriously. I love these shoes. And my son loves them, too. He's been wearing them for about three weeks, and so far no complaints. Also, they are really cute and pretty well made. As hard as my kid is with shoes, these look like they're holding up.

I love these shoes and so does my 15 mo old. He wears them pretty much every day. They fit good, are easy to get on and off, are very sturdy and supportive on his little feet. I don't think I need to comment on how rad they are because they're Vans!

Great shoe. Super cute and easy for my 3.5 year old to put on and off by himself. I only marked moderate arch support because my son has flat feet and needs an insert. Otherwise, it's probably more of a fashion shoe than an athletic shoe.

We love these shoes! Worth paying a little more for quality shoes that will take a beating and still last a long time. I also like that they are a little roomy. I wouldn't say a full or half size bigger but there is certainly a little room to accommodate some growth.

These shoes are perfect for my rough-on-shoes son. He uses his feet as brakes and these shoes have a thick rubber sole that has yet to wear out. I would buy these again for him.

These shoes look great and are made very well so they will be able to stand up to the beating my toddler will give them.

These are so adorable. My son has a wider, thicker foot & they fit him well. They are stylish. The sole is not very flexible, however, and my son sometimes trips when running. He wears the shoe often (these are his every-day shoe); however, I did buy different shoes for him to wear at the playground, and I'm glad that I did. I would recommend them still, though, because they are so cute.

These shoes are super cute and an easy fit for toddler feet. My son has wide feet and Vans seem to fit him the best, even though they aren't marked "wide." This is kind of signature for Vans and is what makes them accommodate the wider, somewhat flatter, feet of toddlers so well. Vans are also very durable and wear well! I have been buying Vans for my kids for more than 8 years and have loved every pair!

This is our fourth year of this shoe. Every time my son grows out I give him the opportunity to try something new, and he wants these. They are easy for a 2, 3 and 4 year old to put on; very durable, looks great, and after a little time, comfy enough to wear sans socks. My kids have a high instep and chubby feet, and cheap, crappy department store shoes are a no go. These always fit.

My 2 year old loves these and won't take them off. I'll have to buy the next size up soon and will buy exactly the same thing. He wears them almost every day and they still held up well.
