Go with your Birkenstock seize, not your regular shoe seize.

I have used these insoles for a long time and ordered a new pair on Zappos. I have plantar fasciitis and found that these insoles help heal and prevent heel pain. The insoles seem to keep the foot tendon in a stretched position and stretch it out while walking. They may seem like walking on rocks at first but they custom mold to your foot as you use them and then you will not notice their presence. They are perfect for non-supportive winter boots and are fine with walking through heavy snow. Just don't break them in walking through snow drifts or you'll be hurting pretty bad the next day.

The inserts felt great, but would not lay flat in my shoes at the toe end. I've tried them in many shoes, always with the same result. Maybe they were not the right size, but I ordered the same size that I take in Birkenstocks. Since the inserts got a high rating from others, I assume that this is not a common complaint.

I had my doubts when I ordered these supports that they would fit in the intended shoes, but they did! They fit in my flat, flat ballet slipper style shoes and in everything else, too -- even heels. Great arch support!

I have a very bad left foot that has a collapsed arch and 2 hammer toes. I am on my feet for as much as 12 hours a day and the pain was getting unbearable. I have been afraid that I would have to resort to surgery. With the arch supports I can wear regular shoes and the pain is gone. The toes don't bend under the ball of my foot and the arch is back. I can now walk easily.

Bought these for my Mephisto Storm. Product is amazing and much better than other brands. However, while the support for the right foot feels just right, same cannot be said for the left foot. Maybe my contours for my left and right foot are different (slight difference in foot size, who knows?). Anyhow I wholeheartedly recommend this item. Comfort for right foot: 5 stars. Comfort for left foot: 3 stars.

I bought these because I love my Birkenstock sandals and needed the same arch and metatarsal support in my other shoes. I had such high hopes and *knew* that these would solve my issues, but unfortunately they didn't. The metatarsal support is great, but the arch support is not as firm as in the sandals. Since I need firm arch support, they will have to be returned. If you need metatarsal support with less firm arch support, these could work great for you though!

I had high hopes for these inserts. My health insurance cut back on their orthotic benefits this year and I was hooding to avoid a $500 investment. I adore my Birkenstock sandals and have purchased at least six pairs of them from Zappos. These inserts were in no way comparable. They fit my running shoes just fine (I ordered my usual Birkenstock size) but after that it was all downhill. The arch wasn’t high enough for me and there was (obviously) no cushioning under my metatarsal heads, which I need. I tried them under and over the removable insoles in my running shoes and without the insole all together and couldn’t get comfortable. In fact, after a couple of hours of trying I began to have knee pain. Not a solution for me but I still love Zappos. This company has changed shoe shopping for those of us who don’t fit in the usual size 5-10 world.

These are great in tennis shoes. They provide as much support as a custom orthotic.

These Birkenstock cork footbeds were specifically recommended to me by my physician who diagnosed my foot pain as Morton's neuroma. I have been using them for several weeks now. Each time I wear them, they feel stiff and a bit awkward at first but they do seem to be helping. It's great that the 3/4 length and tailored shape make it possible to insert these footbeds invisibly into many styles of footwear.

Everyone needs a pair of these for their feet. These take away foot pain very quickly and keeps it away. I would not wear shoes without them! My wife and I both have a pair, so it works well with women and men. We can't go anywhere without them.

These are awesome for my AAAA narrow feet. I've thrown away the cushy cushy ones readily available at most marketplaces. These are so far superior they are defiantly worth the price. They make almost every shoe fit better which in turn perks up the shoe style by the pep in my step!

I bought this Birkenstock Firm (Blue) Arch Support to use in my Sperry Boat Shoes. I usually wear Birks, but occasionally one wants another style for function, fashion & fun. With minor modification of the boat shoe 1/2 lining, I can slip the arch device into the shoe bottom, then re-cover with the lining, securing the lining mid-sole with some strong tape, to prevent lining slippage. I was also able to insert these arches under my Converse sneaker full lining to provide support in those. These inserts are pricey, but they are the real deal & won't collapse quickly like foam arch supports. This is my second set; my house is at 6's & 9's due to having a new floor installed & I cannot find the other set, which are still serviceable after 3-4 years. I've had Plantar fasciitis twice & I have heel spurs now too; so I am in no hurry to have a repeat episode. Invest in your health & comfort: buy these for painful feet & heels when you need relief for arch disorders. The Birkenstock people know their business better than anyone and this arch set will pay you back in 'feet happiness' for a long time.

Perfect fit as well as pleasant to wear. I was wearing a different arch support but experienced fatigue while wearing them and pain afterwards, so I switched to an arch support that I knew worked--my Birkenstock sandals. I ordered this footbed in the same size. Now my casual shoes are just as comfortable and pleasant to wear, even less fatiguing during and not painful afterwards. Also, the shipping from Zappos was extremely fast. My Birkenstock sandals have held up well, and I expect these to also. So far, so good.

These inserts make Converse All-Stars wearable. I love my Chucks, but the lack of arch support is a serious problem. The 3/4 length of these inserts is perfect: they provide plenty of support under the arch, but because they don't extend under the toes, they're compatible with Chucks' low toe box. I wear a 42 in Birkenstocks, and these inserts ran true to size for me.

I love these. Most of my shoes and boots don't have any arch support, and these slip in, stay in place, and have relieved a lot of foot pain for me. You can't even see them when you're wearing ballet flats! I only have 1 set right now that I slip into whatever pair of shoes I'm wearing that day, but I am sure I'll purchase one or 2 more so I can have a better rotation.

Expensive, but worth it! I have a medium arch, and this insole provides excellent support in my every-day shoes that aren't supportive enough on their own.

Great arch support and easy to deal with. I've used these for years and love them. I wear them both on top of the regular sport shoe insole and on top if the insole isn't easily removable. I have plantar fascia and have kept it under control for a number of years now by using these and some other Birkenstock supports. In case, you are wondering, these wouldn't work in regular shoes, too wide for most.

Not the full, true Birk footbed experience, but a close second! Very convenient to swap into retro/style sneaks, which tend to have flat footbeds with absolutely no arch support (ah, the 70's).

Just love the Birk arch supports! Very comfortable and gives feet great support. At work I walk on hard floors all day and find with the Birks my feet don't hurt at the end of the day. The ability to use them in various shoes is a real plus. Definitely Five Stars in my book.

Many thanks to Zappos for getting me what I needed in super speedy time. These supports are terrific in that I can switch them from shoe to shoe as needed, and my feet are so much happier when I do. Thank you, Zappos!

Added these supports to some non-supportive Merrells by slipping them under the regular insoles, Heaven! Only will work for me if the shoes are roomy enough to use with 2 sets of insoles, since it seems like the support might pinch if used alone, being only a partial length insole.

I got this for some plantar fascia and because I trust the Birkenstock name. I'm not 100% sure what I think. It is definitely significantly better and it fits in my shoe nicely, it does not feel as good as their clog, but for taking a long walk, they're good. A nice alternative to an expensive orthotic.
