Ordered and returned this shoe twice. Both the first pair and the replacement had the same problem: The insole did not fit in the shoe properly -- it clumped along the outside of my foot (both feet) near the ball of my foot. This may only be a problem with narrow shoes (9.5 B), since I didn't see this complaint from other reviewers. The shoe itself appears to be a successor to the ProWalker, which I've been very happy in the past, but current reviews indicate that the ProWalker has had its quality downgraded, so I thought I would try these instead.

This is my third pair of these shoes. The first pair I have had for years and love them. The second pair I had a big problem with the left shoe. After many emails the company gave me a credit for a new pair. The third pair has a similar problem with the left shoe so I am going to another manufacture.

I put these shoes on and they were so uncomfortable. It felt like I was wearing two right shoes. I took the left shoe off and confirmed it really was a left shoe, but it felt like a right shoe on my left foot. I am very disappointed how Rockport quality has deteriorated in the last few years. Rockport used to be the best shoe brand ever. Why did they mess with perfection?

These are way off on the size. I have been a 9½ for over 45 years. These were like wearing Dumbo's boots. This is not Zappos' fault.

The toe box slopes in too quickly for remainder of shoe (which fits fine); toe box cramps toes; cannot wear.

The shoes do not FEEL "extra wide." I've got a problem. I need help. I need to return the shoes and get some that are truly EXTRA WIDE. These are not made as marked--and so they are not comfortable after walking a mile or so.

I have several pairs of Rockport World Tour shoes that all use Velcro straps instead of shoe laces. When I ordered the subject shoes I thought that I was ordering shoes with Velcro ties. It was my mistake. I have subsequently found out that Rockport has discontinued the Velcro tie version.. I would order at least six more pair if I could get the Velcro tie version of the World Tour shoes with Velcro tie straps. Regards, Alyn

The shoe seems to have been through a subtle redesign, with disappointing results. I agree with Bob's appraisal. I've worn and loved three pairs of the old style, which gets 5 stars. This shoe pinches my big toe, and the back collar is uncomfortable. It gets 1 star, sadly, and is being returned. I would rather pay more and be able to get the old shoe back.

I've bought these before and loved them, but they've done some sort of redesign. The sole just feels flat with little support. The "collar", the top part of the shoe around your ankle is hard and stiff. It's been rubbing against my ankle for just 20 minutes and there's already a sore spot. Same with the little tab at the back of the heel. Any time I flex my foot it jabs into the back. It seems like they've removed padding in other places too, making a cheaper shoe. If I hadn't just had to walk through some mud to get to work, I would definitely return them. I have never had a pair of Rockport shoes actively hurt my feet and cut off circulation like these have, and in less than 20 minutes. Can't wait until I get home tonight to toss these shoes. I only hope that the other style I ordered at the same time isn't as bad as this or I've wasted a chunk of change.

I bought a pair of World Tour Classic 10 1/2 W a year ago. There is something wrong with the design of the shoe because I hit stairs going up. Consequently, the tip of the shoe is already torn, although I have used the shoe at most once a month. I use this pair rarely precisely because the front of the shoe is torn and dirty. I wish I could send the shoe back to Rockport for them to see what is wrong with it. It is possible that the wide shoe is actually a larger shoe, size 11 possibly. Indeed this pair feels clunky. I have used Rockport walking shoes for many years. In fact, I had to go back to my Rockport M7602 which I have used for more than 15 years, just because I can't find a suitable replacement, as the Rockport World Tour Classic is certainly not. I regret to have been induced to buy this shoe because of the positive reviews.

I'm very disappointed with these shoes. When I first received them it was obvious that they weren't as comfortable as my current Hush Puppies. Over the next few months this proved to be true as my feet were fatigued in the Rockports. Then after approx. 3 months the shoes starting coming apart ...the rubberized bottom peeling off. The Rockports have been "retired" after only a few months of wear. I'll avoid Rockports in the future.
I'd also recommend:

This is one of the worst shoes I have ever had. There was no arch support. My feet hurt, and even worse, my knees hurt as well. I have never had knee problems. I felt misled from an earlier post about this shoe stating how comfortable it was, and how much support it offered.

Rockport shoes are like a rock - Recently bought a pair of rockport shoes with the air cushion support. I buy two pairs of walking shoes per year and do approximately 5 miles of walking per day. Within one week after purchase I developed archilles tendonites do to the lack of heel support and lack of cushioning on the soles. Also the shoes have flat bottoms and no pronounced heel. I previously purchased Rebok dmx air support tenners but they are no longer made and have been bought out by rockport which is a horribly designed shoe. These were my first pair of this brand after walking for the past 16 years. Do not buy these.
I'd also recommend:

Squeek Squeek Squeek - Every Rockport shoe I have owned in the past few years squeeks with every step. They sit in my closet and I am embarrased to wear them.
